Sept .7,1937 v e come from the North,South, East ,'tVest, to begin our fl3t year in the Flen- ington Hi. A group of 32 girls and 24 boys innocently traveling the hall3 the first fev days. It was a common occurence for a Bind heart- ed hclpfvil senior to find a 7th grader on 3rd floor scrching for Chenoweths, English room (which was on the first floor at that tino.) Miss McDanicl and Miss Chenoweth were our class sponsors in our first year, at last tho' v e got things straightened as v e passed on to the basketball season. But let us hasten through our vacations to the eight grade, our class this year was lead by Ifir.Newlon and Mis3 Newcome. This year was proved to be a profitiable, but extra-ordinary eight grade class. Vie also gave the play, Sauce for tho Gosl- ing, Stunt Night and here we arc, tho 30th of May with three whole months of freedom. Sept.4,1939 v e entered again to begin our first year of sonior high, sorry to say, but quite a few have left thi3 beloved institution of ours. Our sponsors this year being Mr.Hall and Mr.Whitscarver. One of our formost dramatic students won the dramitid metals for the year for her work in, Sauce for the Gosling, Geraldine Wolfe the first Freshman to admitted to Troupe 19 of the Thespians. The next year we wero Sophomore (Naturally) my but v c thought those Freshios wore green. We had forgotten all about the year before, I suppose. But that's the way with Sophomoreo. Well we know how it felt to Be Sophomores, but then v o had one large class for Sophomores, and consequently lored It over the Grocnies. Our class was A large class for Sophomores, but then we had one large class director. Mention- ing no names, of course, but our clods director was Mr.Cather. zZZ2Z
