DOROTHY ROGERS, B. A. 6 M. A.-As a fresh- man English teacher, Miss Rogers does an ex- cellent iob of instructing Flathead's new citi- zens. In connection with this she is also in charge of publishing the freshman handbook. She enjoys spending her summers at her cabin on Bitterroot Lake and would like to retire and live like a millionaire. A.-Mr. Hamilton, our Spanish teacher, is busy sponsoring the Sen- ior Class, Spanish Club, counseling the Boy Scouts and intra-mural basketball. He still manages to find time for his various hobbies of fishing, reading and writing poetry. This ambitious man has but one secret ambition and that is to emulate Ernest Hemingway. language rim GLENN REZNOR, A. B. 6 M. A.-Mt. Reznor is responsible for the fine student dramatic productions of F. C. H. S. Aside from drama he also teaches English and an adult Spanish class. I-Ie is a talented musician, having done much professional work before coming to Flathead. g 'Y--W AL GERSTENBERGER. B. A. - Mr. Gerstenberger, who teaches English and Latin, is Junior Red Cross spon- sor and cafeteria monitor. A lover ot the great outdoors, he thinks the Flathead is a sportsman's paradise and hopes to find a lake which no one else has ever fished. LOUISE CALDER, B. A.-Mrs. Calder, sponsor of the French Club and also a French teacher, would like best to study in France. She spends most of her time reading, horseback riding and visiting her friends. Page 19

She is very impressed by the energy and enthusiasm of the student body. DAVID T. ANDERSON, B. A. 6 M. A. Mr. Anderson, sponsor of the Soph- omore class, spends most ol his time gardening and decorating. His secret ambition is to write, and he likes the people best at F. C. H. S. Mr. Anderson is a member ot a state commission which is re- vising the English curriculum. PATRICIA OLAFSON, B. A.-Instructing the freshmen in their duties and responsibilities as students at Flathead is one ot Miss Olatson's biggest iobs as treshman English teacher. Her other school activities include sponsoring Y- teens and Senior Girl Scouts. An avid skier, she makes good use ot the slopes at Big Mountain. CLARA YOUNG, A. B.-To be a civil engin- eer and to build bridges has always been the suppressed desire ol Mrs. Young, senior Eng- lish teacher and sponsor of F. T. A. She spent last summer taking special courses at Col- umbia University so that she would be more qualified to prepare the seniors tor college entrance. TOM RICHARDSON, B. A. 6 M. A.-Flathead's excellent speech department can be attributed to the able leadership cmd enthusiastic efforts of Mr. Richardson. He sponsors the N. F. L., the Iunior class, and public relations radio broadcasts, besides teaching speech and so- cial studies.
