Aside from solving all our problems, he also teaches general math and coaches freshman football and basketball. incidentally, he thinks that his general math classes are the Flathead claim to fame. RICHARD MATTSON, B. A., M. A.-Lack of hair seems to be the chief concern of our genial psychology, social studies, and guid- ance instructor. He sponsors the Bible Club, Freshman Class, and Polio drive. His most unusual experience was that one of his students discovered an additional hair tmaking a total of 7V2l on his Cranium. VERNON P. DAY, B. S.-Mr. Day, every boy's favorite teacher, keeps busy chasing Flat- head's ditchers. He also teaches advanced algebra and sponsors Key Club. His secret ambition is to catch his algebra class run- ning to lunch. He enioys hunting and fishing. DONNA ARNOLD, B. A. - Mrs. Arnold, Dean of Girls, is Bible Club, Y-Teens, and Senior Class sponsor. She spends most of her spare time knitting. homemaking, and being outdoors. She gets very tired of the age-old excuses she hears for ab- :- A , . !J 'LL if RUTH MacDONALD, Registrar-After a day of filling out transcripts, answering innumer- able questions and supervising the busy of- fice, Mrs. Macdonald enjoys raising cherries, knitting, and spoiling her two grandchildren. t The guidance department aims to help the student answer the eternal question, Where do l ao from here? by assisting him to evaluate his own potentials and abilities. SGIICBS. LAURA OSTROOT, Secretary-To have time to study piano is Mrs. Ostroot's hope. Raising flowers is her favorite hobby. Among Mrs. Ostroot's duties is keeping the school register of attendance. gb '

A. B.-Under the fine leader- ship of this technical director, Flathead has had exceptional staging ot plays. He is kept busy with his unusual hobby ot acquiring tropical lish. To come down the Flathead River in a row boat with Lloyd Tracht at the oars is one ol his secret ambitions. WALTER YLINEN, A. A. S.. B. A.. cmd M. A. F1athead's sophomores are very fortunate in having such a fine instructor to teach them the fundamentals of biology. He also sponsors the Proiectionists Club. His favorite pastime is woodworking.
