R. H. WOLLINI PRINCIPAL FLATHEAD COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT KALISPELL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS MR. FLGTTMAIWS MESSAGE IBELIEVE THE MEMBERS OF THE CLASS OF l947: WILL avoid mental atrophy. WILL continue to read cmd study worth- while books. WILL keep informed about local, state, national and international affairs and will take their responsibilities of citizenship ser- iously. WILL always distinguish between values. WILL recognize intelligence and knowledge of vastly more worth than wealth and fine clothes. WILL recognize that service render- ed society is the true measure of success, and will place statesmen, scientists, relig- ious leaders and teachers upon higher ped- estals of esteem than baseball stars and movie actors. WILL look upon a job that needs to be done as being more important than attendance at a house party or football game. WILL direct their lives with fine principles, ideals and moral convictions. And WILL think of life in terms of human needs and service to others, realizing that one cannot live selfishly and really succeed. MR. WOLLIN'S MESSAGE Without a doubt education holds the most important place and the most conspicuous spot in the world today. The demand for leadership has never been greater than at the present time with straight thinking and courageous hearts more than ever in de- rnand. We, in Flathead County High School have not only a wonderful opportunity, but a great responsibility in helping to shape the future of education in this community. Even though there might be temporary set- backs, may we, as students and members of the faculty, never lose sight of the goals that have been set, nor cease in our efforts to put them across. May the fine spirit of enthusiasm that has been manifest through- out the year, and the splendid spirit of co- operation exhibited in all our endeavors carry us forward to bigger and better things. We salute the Class of 1947. E. A. FLOTTMAN ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
