I, Wanda Whisler, do will and bequeath my position in the bank to Mary Janet Behm and Margaret Brillowsky. l, Julie Wright, do will and bequeath my abundant energy to Alice Schoen. l, Ray Wrobel, do will and bequeath my above average grades to Jerry Pichan. The instrument was on the day of the date thereof, signed, published, and declared by the said testor, the Senior Class, to be their last will and testament in the presence of the said witnesses who at our request have subscribed their name herein. by Jerry Mittlestat, Testor PROPHESY, CLASS OF 1953 Today l received a notice from the secretary of our senior class, Janice Cole, which said 'The Class of 1953 will hold a class reunion from July 26 through August ll, 1963. Arrangements have been made for everyone in the class to take over their former position for one week. There will be one week of school with the same classes as in your senior year and one basketball game between the Varsity Teams of 'l953 and l963. You are requested to attend the reunion to take your part in the past. When we graduated from high school about half of the class were planning to go to college with a few planning to teach school. Bob Mittlestat and Harold Goodhue are the leaders of the local boy's athletic club. Virginia Grier is an art teacher at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Judy Bass is teach- ing voice at her own studio in Detroit. Don Priest, a minister, and Mary Hardin are missionaries in Africa. Wouldn't it be a coincidence if they would come over on the plane that Tom Schweizer, pilot, and Charles Wenzel, co-pilot were fly- ing with Vivian Hanning as their air hostess. Upon arrival at the Nan-Bar Airport they would be met by the first car off the assembly line of the newest corporation in Flat Rock, which was named after the designer of the cars, Gary Hall. All the cars off this assembly line will be Hall originals. I have heard a rumor that Kenny Weddle, the famous player-manager of the world champion football team the Flat Rock Rams, will play an exhibition game for charity. It has been said that he has a special treatment for any player who runs the wrong way and goes across the opponents goal line. Sid Dean, who was the champion sleeper of our class, especially during economic, makes very good mattress tester. To keep him in good condition for the strenuous iob, he has engaged a private doctor, Tom Blue with his staff, Delores Korsner, as his nurse and Janice Cole, as his secretary. l know that most of the boys in our class have been in and out of the service with two exceptions, Willie Blohm and Coleman Bennett. Coleman is going to make a career out of the army. Willis is staying in the navy to finish his latest book, 'A Girl in Every Port . Of course all the members of the class will want to go shopping and buy some new clothes at the newest department store in town. A stranger coming into town notices this building first because of the height and gleaming white marble front. lt is a credit to the construction company which is owned and managed by James Bodary. The women's department of this store is managed by lla Mae Konarske and features the designs of Jack Shaw and the color combinations of Joe Gricol with the modeling of Julie Wright. The men's department of this store is managed by Jerry Mittlestat, who is a private detective in his spare time. Jerry is going to be a full time private detective and is passing his posi- tion at the store on to Cliff Dubke.

Out of the part-time iobs which we had, many of the members of the class really make something out of them. Wanda Whisler is the first woman assistant cashier in the history of the Flat Rock Bank. John Miller is the district manager of the Kroger Stores in Michigan, and Marve Navarre is the manager of the Bunte Department Stores. Jim McKinney is a foreman of Fabco lnc. The Flat Rock Post of the Michigan State Police has been greatly enlarged since our graduation. The two newest branches are a iuvenile branch headed by Donna Ausum and a Bureau of lnvestigation headed by Tom McClure. Don Bates is the head of the detective branch. Because of the growth of the station the number of iobs have been increased. Among those working at the station are secre- taries, Teresa Ancona and Betty Coats, and King Weimer as the head typist. Some of the class will have to travel some distances to come to the reunion. Jack Kreger, who is our representative in Washington D. C. and is planning to run for the senate next term, will be able to attend the reunion because congress will not be in session this week. Marilyn Frflncis will have a weeks leave from the New York Hospital where she is doing physical therapy work. Larry Brown, whose last picture was 'Wish You Were Here , will have to come from California. Ardis Boyd will be coming from Lansing where she has been the state treasurer for the last few years. Paul Ensch, who has iust returned from the east, is playing professional baseball with the world champions Detroit Tigers. While walking down the street of Flat Rock it is advisable to stay away from the road for the next few weeks. The midget auto racers are coming to town soon with Ray Wrobel, the most notorious driver of all. All the members of the class have been very successful during the past ten years. May success and happiness be theirs in the years to come. By Evelyn Burdick
