ST WILL Wc, the Senior Class of 1958, having attained the maximum peak of intellectual discernment, con- quered all obstacles, won great fame and glory, gained all knowledge to be found in the textbooks, ele- vated our character and reputation to the superlative degree of dignity and intrinsic worth, and possessing supreme mental capacities, and not acting under fraud, duress, menace or under the influence of any person whatsoever, on this thirtieth day of April in the year of our Lord 1958, do solemnly swear and af- firm that this is our last will and testament bequeathing the following personaland real estate, which we so diligently strived to accumulate in four short years of secondary education, to the beloved juniors, couching our legal document in mono-syllabic terms that they may be able to assimilate the meaning without the aid and advice of a legal mind, To the members of our beloved faculty who look upon our departure with smiles of joy, we bequeath the satisfaction which comes from duties well performed and a peaceful rest from the weary task of ed- ucating us, We also leave them a large amount ofsympathy for the depressing days ahead of them next year -- that of pounding knowledge into the Juniors' craniums. To the Iunior Class we bequeath: First, Our Senior dignity. May they uphold it with becoming seriousness, endeavoring to overcome their usual scatterbrained and frivolous flippancy. Secondly, That which gives us the greatest pang to part with -- our strongly entrenched places in the hearts of the faculty who have loved us devotedly, because -- they couldn't help it! Comfort them in their loss, but do not imagine you can mangle their hearts as we have done in the past years, Thirdly, We will our Senior authority, for those who uphold it and guard it well. The following valuable personal bequeaths freely and fully given should be treasured as a continual reminder of the abundant and overwhelming generosity of the class of 1958. We trust these responsibil- ities will be assumed promptly and bring important results. l, MARCIE VanGORDEN, do will to Annette Courtney, my beautiful 48 spotted gray Chevy to push to school and to Elsie DeBaun, all my old boy friends, as I won't be needing them anymore. I, CAROLYN WILSON, do will my ability to play Cupid to anyone who thinks it is fun and to Sue Bartlett my ability to make B on the English exam by guessing at the answers. fAlso my fingernails to chew on.J I, DAVID ESTELL, do will my sleeping ability in English Class and Study Hall to Tom McClure, who I know will use it to the very best advantage, and also, my silver-bullet Chevy and my mechani- cally inclined grey matter to Kent Harrell. I, CHARLES BROWN, do will my obstreperous typing habits to Henry Lay for he has none of his owr' and to Mr. Ioe Rawlings, all my old Crook cigars. f Where there's smoke there's fire. J
