At Taka A Look At Dedication Superintendent Sylvan Vigness retires this year after 35 years at FHS. He was superintendent for 26 of those years. He said he will miss the students and the teachers, and the thrill of being a part of what he described as an excel- lent educational system, but not the meetings . To Mr. Vigness we would like to dedi- cate this yearbook for his unselfish years to FHS. Opening Kickin' Back During the last month of school, students took advantage of the hot weather to catch a few early rays before summer The Achievement Days carnival provided entertanment for people of all ages Students become very restless and excited as the end of school nears and summer becomes closer. Summer means possibly finding a job. lounging in the sun, and taking a vacation from the everyday routine of school. Some favorite summer-time hagouts are the swimming pool. The Spot. St. Vincent Hotel's steps and the Spafford basketball courts. Summer Students found it very hard to concentrate on anything except the festivities happening during Homecoming Week. There was much to look forward to as the players and fans prepared to add another win to their already successful year To get the festivities rolling. Twin Day was the first of five dress up days, the other days included: Safari, Purple and Gold Day, Beach, and Role Reversal Day. Thursday night the annual Little Orpheum was held; Shawn De- laney and Nicole Dixon were cho- sen by the student body as the 1987-1988 Homecoming King and Queen. Afterwards students met in the school parking lot, where a student pep rally was held. Friday, classes were dismissed early as the band and the foot- ball players led a procession through town before a comm- munity pep rally was held in the gym. Later that night after a 39-0 Flier victory, a dance was held in the lunch room. The Flier Home- coming was a WIPEOUT!!
