Freshmen Have Poor Season FHS's freshman basketball team consists of. First Row, David Henderson, Bill Sutton, Tom Thomas, Todd Ludemann, Gary Cochran, Dave Basart. Second Row, John Wendell, Russell Kneebone, Dave Lathem, Craig Barnes, Danny Rose, Ryland Lieb, Glenn Johnson. Third Row, Blaine Ailts, Todd Fisher, Bob Amburn, Ron Burrell, Darrell Prouty, John Duffert, and Coach, Mr. Craig Hoogestrat. Not Pictured Are Keith Wilson and Brian Johnson. These freshmen under Coach Hoogestrat played a total of ten games during the season including tournaments at Arlington and theFlandreau w Indian School. Losses were suffered by the team in all ten of their games. Pictured at the Top of the Page Are some of the fresh- men players in practice at the Armory. Pictured Below is the B basket- ball team. They Are, First Row, head coach, Mr. Stan Myers; Mike Hass; Kenny Armstrong; Doug Hahn; Mike UiIk; and Charles Rosheim. Second Row, Jason Duncan, Ned Otey, Steve Wilts, Stuart Keating, and Greg Crantz. The young Fliers completed the season with wins over Lake Preston, Howard, F.I.S., Canton, Garrestson, Brandon Valley, DeSmet, West Central, Dell Rapids, and Lennox. The only losses suffered were to Elk Point, Beresford, Sioux Vally, Dell Rapids, and Hamlin. B” Squad, 10 Above Are the Fliers and Sioux Vally Cossacks in the semi-finals of the District 10 tournament. The Fliers won in two overtimes and went on to play the championship game against the Deubrook Dolphins on Saturday.
