The Prom dance was once again held at the Spafford gym. The walls and ceiling were decorated with blue, pink, silver, and blue star streamers. The picture area was a huge moon with a carpet of pink coming down from the moon. The punch bowl was decorated as a USA rocket. The punch bowl servers from the sopho- more class were Marcie Liebel and Carol Ahlers. The table area was separated from the dance floor by zodiac signs mounted on stands. The tables had pink table cloths and color dripped candles. The Ride provided the music. Sunday morning the junior parents hosted a breakfast at the K.C. Hall. To raise money this year, the juniors worked the concession stands at the foot- ball, wrestling, and basketball games. The class also sold magazine subscriptions.

The Junior-Senior Prom and Banquet, decorated by the junior class, were held the evening of May fifth. The class chose Space Journey as their theme. The two classes enjoyed a banquet held at the Methodist church before the dance. The Methodist ladies prepared the dinner, and it was served by waiters and waitresses chosen from the Sophomore class. The servers were dressed as moon people, complete with antennas. The grace was given by the Rev. David Sahr. The program consisted of a welcome by junior class president Brad Sanderson and a response by senior class president Gor- don Christenson. A group of junior girls sung. Rhonda Minor and Dale Tjarks were crowned Prom Queen and King. 21

The Student Coun cil worked hard during Home Coming and on revising the student handbook.
