 Three Phone Calls is the humorous story of a four- teen year old girl trying to steal her older sister's boyfriend. Bobby Sox makes three calls to three other boys that would like to go with Margie. The evening that follows is full of laughs for everyone but Margie and Norton. Wilbur Takes His Medicine is about a thirteen year old boy who is being very obnoxious on his father's day off. While trying to give him some caster oil his father ends up taking three doses of it. Jeny Breaks a Date . Mary Johnson is forced into a date with an intelligent and unattractive scientist. She wants to go with her usual date. Jerry makes a wild plan to get rid of the unwanted date. 13

The even- ing was started by music from the German Band direct- ed by Louie Otey. The German Singers directed by Mrs. Griffith and the Gateway Singers provided music between the plays. The three plays were Three Phone Calls, Wilbur Takes His Medicine, and Jerry Breaks a Date. The winner of the local contest was Three Phone Calls. Mr. Linder was in charge of the one acts this year.
