The FFA year began with the annua) Parent-Son Mixer, the supper being given by the Civic and Commerce. State Officer Randy Bullis was present and the Honorary Chapter Farmer was introduced. Jane Dailey was chosen as Chapter Sweet- heart. The candidates are pictured below: Margo Head- rick, Joan Fargon, Jane Dailey, Debbie Whipkey, and Debbie Severtson. During the year, the members also had magazine sales; re- leased pheasants in Moody County; and participated in the Winter Fair. Tom Reinhart, Dave Ullom, and Rick Veldkamp attended the National Meeting at Kansas City Oct. 12-16. The FFA Officers are pictured at left: Pres. - Denis Parsley, Vice Pres. - Steve Millman, Sec. - Rick Velkamp, Treas. - Dave Ullom, Reporter - Alan Warner, Parlimentarian - Kevin Ailts, Sentinel - Tom Reinhart, and Chaplain - Fred Dahlmier. 17

Help Me Make It The FHA began the year with a picnic. The State Meeting at Huron on Oct. 4, was attended by eight members, where Pres. Gloria Iverson received her State Degree. The annual Daddy Date Night was held in Nov. with a potluck supper and program given by Pete Torino, SDSU. The Nickel Bag of Soul provided the music for FHA-FFA Christ- mas Dance. Jane Dailey and Kev- in Ailts were chosen as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and are seated (BELOW) in the traditional sleigh. The Regional FHA meeting was held at the Flandreau Indian School with 30 members attend- ing. The final activity was the annual Style Show in ApriL Officers (LEFT): Pres. - C. Iver- son; Vice-Pres. - R. Minor; Sec.- D. Whipkey; Treas. - J. Fargen; Pari. - D. Severtson; Songs - S. Brook and C. Pottratz; Acc. - D. Christenson.

One act plays were dramatic this year, with two plays participating. One was The Monkey's Paw directed by Kathy Buccholbtz. The play was a drama deal- ing with the superstition and mystery sur- rounding a magical monkey's paw, with the setting in old London. The cast con- sisted of: Steve Ramsdell, Jani Neprud, Charles Cullickson, Kevin Blum and Tim Amdahl. The Monkey's Paw won the Local Contest and went on to the District Contest held at Lincoln High School. Tears of a Clown 18
