Magic moments for both the seniors and juniors began with the festive banquet at the Ma- sonic Temple and continued throughout the night at the prom hosted in the Park Pavilion. Magic Moments Dr. Wayne Puttmann treated everyone with an inspir- ing after-dinner speech keyed to the graduation class entitled High Adventure”, and enter- tainment was provided by the chorus and the reading of the senior class will and prophecy. A little rain didn't dampen the gala spirits of the 'prom- sters' and the prom was a success beginning with the grand march and climaxing with the crowning of the prom prince and princess. Crowned at the stroke of mid- night by Judy Hanson, the honored pair was brother and sister, Doug and Helen Peter- son. They were chosen by ballot on the lovely scenic patio attended by LeAnn Meeker and Dorothy Smallfield. Each was given a travel alarm to remember the event. Everyone danced the magic moments away to the heavenly organ music of Jimmy Darrell and the Magic Moments too rapidly changed into Moments to Remember.

Memorizing and rehearsing over and over again, often in the shower rooms seemed only natural to these actors and actresses and they took it all in a stride. When performance night arrived, The Man in the 3owler Hat came out on top and went to Arlington to compete in the District Contest where it received an excellent rating. I Could Have Danced All Night is how every- one felt, but they did taken an occasional punch break, we see, at the punch-well to get refreshed. Dan Gullickson, Vera Beach, Jean Hass and Bill Gullickson put the rose decored punch-well to another use. The juniors put a lot of work into decorating for the prom. This lovely scene not only greeted the guests as they arrived but also made a lovely background for this picture of Dan Gullickson and Vera Beach. Balloons everywhere! Someone got rid of a lot of hot air while the juniors decorated for the big event.
