The Man Who Came to Dinner Whiteside presents his favorite tie to the Stanley’s children played by Dan Gullickson and Donna Kuhle. No play would be complete unless the cast's names were listed on a flat, just as no play could be a success without a director. Here Gene Henry presents Mrs. Riffel with a token of the senior's appreciation. Getting rid of Lorraine proved to be quite a problem until she stepped into the mummy case Whiteside s stay was prolonged when he fell for the second time on the Stanley's doorstep. Maggie’s perfect plot to get Lorraine Sheldon (Janet Weigel) out of town was foiled later by Whitesides. Tom Thorson has a fondness for pianos while Gary Parker seems to have a fondness for Nyla Harrington. The feeling doesn't appear to be mutual, however.

Seniors Stage Box Office Smash The Man Who Came to Dinner proved to be a successful and very memorable last project for the seniors. When Keith Kroeger, in his role as Whiteside, a well known lecturer, paid an unexpected, and rather unfortunate, visit to the Stanley's things really started popping. Convicts, penquins, and cockroaches only added to the general confusion. Bedlam reigned when Whitesides decided to break up a budding romance between his secretary and a local reporter. All ended happily, however, for everyone except Whitesides, who had another accident and was again confined to his wheelchair. These industrious seniors helped make production possible by assembling flats and setting the stage for the play. Even though this work isn't acting Mrs. Riffel, play director, keeps a watchful eye on her cast. Below, Metz, played by Doug Petersen, gives Vera Beach a welcome kiss upon arriving to visit his friend Whiteside. Metz presents his friend with a colony of cockroaches, much to Whiteside's delight. Sheridan Whiteside makes life miserable for the Stanleys with his orders as he enters the room above. Left. Gary Jewett and Shirley Qoud listen as Keith Kroeger reveals a planto sneak them away from the Stanleys . Above, Carol Foreman and Joan Berger listen intently as Betsy Bonde reads an article from Time. Above left, Beverly Small- field presents a Christmas gift to Keith.

Memorizing and rehearsing over and over again, often in the shower rooms seemed only natural to these actors and actresses and they took it all in a stride. When performance night arrived, The Man in the 3owler Hat came out on top and went to Arlington to compete in the District Contest where it received an excellent rating.
