Homecoming Festivities Little Orpheum marked the beginning of homecoming on Wednesday evening with each class presenting a skit. Between skits the audience was entertained by the Pep Club. The stars of homecoming, Tom Henry and Mar- shann Heinemann, were crowned following the Little Orpheum. The queen's attendants were: Betsy Bonde. Vera Beach, Pat Snuggerud, and Janet Weigel. The king's attendents were: Lynn Johnson, Tom Thorson, Dan Gulllckson, and Doug Petersen. The royalty was crowned by last year's homecoming king and queen and were robed by Nyla Harrington and Jean Hass. Thursday evening Tom and Marshann starred at the bonfire where they helped the cheerleaders and band give the student body school spirit. The highlight of homecoming came on Friday night at the football game when the Fliers battled Madison to a tie. After the game the student body enjoyed themselves dancing to the music of Jimmy Darrell and his orchestra. Music with a bounce , by Jimmy Darrell and orchestra. Doug hauls down a Bulldog after little or no gain. Wild hats and music by the brass helped make the bonfire a success. Twisting the night away or so it seems as these students enjoy the dance. Torches held high for victory at the bonfire. 13 The students weren't the only ones to enjoy the dance as evidenced by Mr. Hilsendeger.

Stars of F. H. S. Shine Over The sophomores wouldn't quit with a horse. They also had a swinging jazz band. Dan Wallberg and Neil Teer helped make the freshmen skit a success. Her e s mud in your eye and whipped cream in your nose as Janet finds Tom's face an easy mark. Tom Thorson shows the cheer- leaders how it should be done as he leads the senior skit in a cheer for victory. David Thoreson and Susie Cham- berlain made the junior skit an uproar with their wild antics.
