The navigators for the trip were Principal Hass, Mr. Broz, and Mrs. Riffel. The year rolled right along. The Seniors rea- lized that the ship doesn't stand still. It was moving toward the channels full speed ahead. Char- ley's Aunt was a hilarious success under the direction of Mrs. Riffel. The Seniors found them- selves out in the channel when they received their diplomas May 31. The Junior Class Officers lead the way to a suc- cessful prom. Magazine sales, car washes, and bake sales added to the growing treasury. Hard work and initiative, under the super- vision of Mr. William Poppen, Mrs. Sona Miller and Mrs. Irene Engstrum, contributed to a successful banquet and prom. 22 Here we are halfway through and we have much more to learn Class Officers: President, Pat Vanderhoof; Vice President, Roger Peper; Secretary, Betty Head- rick; Treasurer, Helen Petersen; Student Rep- resentative, Jon Scofield. This year was the first year in high school for the Freshmen. When they first came to FHS they didn't seem to have much luck in opening their lockers and finding the right room at the right time for their classes. One of this year's was Little Orpheum. They went to a lot of work putting the skit on in public. The Freshmen are looking for- ward to becoming next years Sopho- mores.
