S. one week early in the fall for practice. The boys know the bone- crushing jolt of a jarring tackle, the countless exercises , long practice in heavy equipment, and the heat or chill of the autumn evenings. They know the dlscouragement of defeat as well as the taste of victory. They love the game and when the season is over, they are both relieved and sorry.
