David McCracken and Richard Heesch. guided the Fliers through the ’57-‘58 basketball season with 11 wins and 9 losses. McCracken was recognized as second team player on the All-State basket- ball squad. The tournament this year was held in the College gymnasium at Brookir s March 6 and 7. Flandreau beat Madison 41-32 the first night and won the right to meet Brookings the next night. They seemed to be too much for us though, and we lost the game. So ended our '57-'58 basketball season which was under the supervision of Coach Don Brosz. footer (Queens Cjenerate Spirit This group of girls, the Rooter Queens, snappily uniformed in purple and white, formed the energetic nucleus which en- couraged school spirit and participation in all athletic events. HAPPY SMILES: Dottie Schult, Mary Ellen Gageby, Muriel Duncan. Doris Kucera, and Judean Snuggerud.

Ineligibilities and sickness were a constant plague to his lineup. The players, BACK ROW: Arthur Bublitz, Claude Jones. Ray Pasch, Tommy Peper, Lynn Sorenson, Coach Cook. FRONT ROW: Russell Eng, Richard Fuller, Richard Whitman. Craig Johnson, and Darrell Newbern saw the season through. hiei Wort Do Jo.proveKj Lff PL» The Freshman team won four and lost one game under the direction of Eugene Johnson during the 1957-58 season. Team players are Paul Varns, David Peper, Mark McDowall, Rollyn Samp, Robert Fuller, Guy Erickson, Ken Zylstra, Charles Chamberlin, and Ronald Hammer.
