However, here are ten brave souls who weathered the scorn of their sex and gave their all for Mrs. Rewalt. Pictured above is the Junior High Girls' Glee Club, and from all indications F.H.S. shall not want for quantity of female voices for some time to come. J«y Thomas. Bill Driscoll, Larry Anderson. The wonderful voices you hear every morning are the best that good old F.H.S. has to offer. There is a boys' glee club, a girls' club and a mixed chorus. They sing at different events such as the church banquets, P.T.A., and study clubs. The students go to Madison for the high school music contest in the spring. The senior high school and junior high school give their annual concert in the spring. This consists of girls' glee club, boys' glee club, mixed chorus, junior high glee club and chorus and all the students combined in one big chorus. Mrs. Re- wait, director, has worked very hard to organize this very fine group of songsters. Back Row: Jean Duncan, Leanne Johnson, Verda Ehlers, Lois Ingemann, Jeanne Bisson, Janice Erickson. HOMECOMING ROYALTY QUEEN SHIRLEY KING QUENTIN Our homecoming was started out by a wonderful Little Orpheum in which the fresh- men had two plays. The soph- omores contributed a pan- tomime. and the seniors fol- lowed with TOBACCO ROAD WITH DETOURS. The show was closed by the crowning of royalty. Queen Shirley Anne Jones and King Quentin Lee. Thursday night we had our bonfire and then enjoyed a free movie, thanks to Raliegh Matson. A drizzle dampened many a spirit on Friday, but by parade time all was well. It succeeded in being one of the best with the seniors breaking the juniors' tradition- al winning streak by taking first on their float. The soph- omores came in second and the FFA and eighth grade tied for third. We topped off home- coming by beating the Canton C Hawks in an exciting 13-12 victory. A dance after our football game wound up the homecoming festivities.
