Lois Buettemeier For the Juniors - - - A Story of u Year of Business In August, 1959, thirty-three jolly jtu1iors returned to the familiar halls of Flanagan High. As class officers for the year, we chose: Harold Frobish, presidentg jim Roeschley, vice-presidentg Lois Buettemeier, secretary-treasurerg and Norma johnson and jerry Voss to represent us in Student Cotmcil. During the year we lost Douglas Schrockg but gained Karen Derby, Gary Cripe, Steve Knutti, and Chuck Voss. Norma johnson was elected the queen's attendant for Homecoming. Our float entitled We Auto Win won second prize. Our money-making projects for the year were selling candy, sponsoring a chili supper, and having some canteens . The thrilling moments of the year, however, were the arrival of our class rings and presenting the Junior-Senior prom and banquet. Our sponsors for the year were Miss Baker and Mrs . Yordy. ' ' For the Sophomores - - - A Story of u Year of Growth On August 31, 1959, forty sophomores returned to Flanagan High to continue the work cut out for us. During the year we lost a classmate, Loran Harris, but gained one, Jeanette Cripe. Our class officers were President, Larry Jansseng Vice President, Jerry Zehrg Secretary-Treasurer, Beverly Bomhoffg and Student Council representatives, Jean Barth and Richard Dippon. Our class sponsors were Miss Streid and Mrs . Durre. During the year our class sponsored a bake sale and had a basketball canteen to make money. Suzanne Thomas was chosen as queen's attendant at Homecoming. Our float was entitled Stairway To Victory . One of the most important events of our school days took place in March.
