Sharon Harris , For the Seniors - - - A Story of u Year of Memories In August of 1956, thirty-eight students entered the halls of FHS as freshmen. Elected for the year were President, John Gorman, Vice-President, Roger Rappz Secretary- Treasurer, Joyce Folkersg Student Council members, Janet Thiel and Robert Weichman. Our sponsors for the year were Miss Diemer and Mr. Cotter. During the year, we gained four new members: Della Lamb, Ingo Kastner, Bill Duffy, and June Pommier. During the year, we lost james Thiry. Elected as our class officers in our second year were President, Paul Uphoffg Vice- President, Roger Rapp, Secretary-Treasurer, Beverly Schell, and Student Council members, Janet Thiel and Larry Wilson. Our sponsors for this year were Mrs. Durre and Mr. Cotter. Our float, entitled Last Rites for Lexington , won second place. Officers chosen to lead us in our third year were President, Larry Wilson, Vice- President, John Gorman, Secretary-Treasurer, janet Zehr. Our class sponsors were Mrs Durre and Mr. Cotter. The first important event was the arrival of our class rings. In order to improve our financial status, we had canteens and other money-making projects . This year our float won first prize. Another highlight of the year was being hosts to the seniors at the Junior-Senior Prom. We now enter our fourth and final year at FHS. Officers chosen for the year were President, Paul Uphoffg Vice-President, Tom Saxtong Secretary, Janet Zehr: Treasurer, Sharon Harrisg and janet Thiel, Larry Wilson, and John Gorman, Student Council members. Our class sponsor was Mr. Cotter. During the year, we sponsored a pancake-sausage supper, a senior play, All In The Family , and other projects by which we made money. The royal couple at Homecoming was Beverly Schell as Queen and Larry Wilson as King. Janet Zehr was the senior attendant. janet Thiel received the D.A.R, award. Most of the class members were trying to make the deadlines and such for the annual, with the assistance of our yearbook advisor, Miss Baker. With many thanks to her, we made it. As guests, we looked forward to the junior-Senior Prom in 1960. On May l-8, we took our long-awaited senior trip to Washington, D.C. and New York. Our high school days finally came to a close with the baccalaureate services on May 22 and then graduation on May 27.
