Dr. Mer- riam looks forward to many improvements in the college ' s program DEAN OF EVENING STUDIES Philip McMur- ray, Dean of Men for nine years, has assumed the new position of Dean of Evening Studies. He is well trained for his post, having graduated from Manhat- tan College, received his Ed.M. from Fitchburg State College and done extensive work at BosT h Uni- versity. DEAN OF GRADUATE STUDY Dr. Roger Holmes, a graduate of Wesleyan University, received his Ed.M. from Boston University, and his Ed.D. from Teachers College at Columbia University. Dr. Holmes fulfills two important roles at Fitchburg; he is Dean of Graduate Study and head of the Social Studies Department. of business and has done graduate work at various colleges and is a former manager of a chamber of commerce. DEAN OF ADMISSIONS Joseph F. Durant re- ceived his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Boston College. Dean Durant, who specialized in guidance and psychology. i responsible for admis- sions, placement and the piogram o| Irolunan orienta- tion. In the near future.
