MOHAWK CLUB Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the Mohawks strive to promote cooperation in the school; to increase social welfare in student life; to foster professional improvement; to gain the benefits derived by the organization; and to promote atheletic achievement among its members individually and collectively. The first big activity this year was Initiation Week-end. Fun-Nite was a real treat this year with the ToKalon Society contributing their feminine talent. The annual Penny Sale was a big part of the night, but most remembered is the variety show and its top-notch talent. The sympathetic understanding of this club is shown in the Toy For Joy booth at Christmas time which benefits underprivileged children. May the Mohawks continue onward with their fine reputation and always be united in one symbol, Soangetaha. ESOTERIC SOCIETY The Esoteric Society, founded in 1947, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. The primary purpose of this club is striving to improve the human relationships of the student body. This society aims to set a good example for the college on the whole. In the fall of ' 56 nineteen new members were initiated into the fold. The Esoterics presented their annual show with more zest and talent than ever, much to the thrill of their audience. The Annual Dinner Dance was held in its fine splendor with its forty-four members in attendance. This society has adopted three Greek letters Phi Delta Pi as its symbol, denoting its motto, Charity, Honor, and Zeal.
