Summer Where do you begin? You begin with Seen '86!! The Yearbook Staff decided to start early on the F.H.S. Boulder, so like the previous year we went to Westfield State for Yearbook s Seminar headed by the Hunter Publishing Company. It was held August 12 til August 15. On Tuesday, after pickups made by Stephen V. LeBlanc and Mananne Baho. we were on our way for a fun time at Westfield. Again, we stayed at Scanlon Hall and later that day we went to a general meeting held by Frank Frasier. Mr. Frank Frasier. a gray-haired, prim and proper looking man. made us laugh so many times that week. His funniest remark occurred when he told us the rules of the seminar. ' Do not partake in alcohol or we will have to ask you to leave. Do not partake in pot or we will have to ask you to — share it. At Westfield we learned about business and sales, photography, layout and design, and most importantly theme and cover. Trying think up a theme must be one of the hardest things to do in making a yearbook. One afternoon, during a theme class, we all got to talking and decided that we wanted the yearbook to be different. After a rap. we came out with the idea of Completely Different. Some of us were a little skeptical at first, but after awhile we agreed thdt this would be a fun theme and to say the very least — Completely Different. After 4:00 each day. all of us were free to 'recreate ! We swam, had an ice cream feed, played pool, and gambled with paper money on Monte Carlo night. We also met some other students. Pat McHugh and Beth Alger, from Lebanon — Lebanon. New Hampshire, who became our fast friends. The best night had to have been Thursday when we walked around the dorms at 3:00 AM — and woke up poor, innocent, yearbookies. That night never ended — we caught ourselves watching the sunrise at 5:00 AM in the dorm lounge. Friday morning unfortunately arrived and after a slide show of the past 4 days, we had to leave. After saying goodbye to our new friends and exchanging addresses we started on our way home. All in all. the tnp to Westfield was beneficial and Completely Fantastic. Too bad it ended so fast! T Michelle Haggstrom and Tammy Miner are getting ready to leave the Yearbook Seminar. 2 -» Theme L
