Perhaps the most touching moment of the day was seeing the entrance of the football team stand together on stage. Regardless of the score at tomorrow's game, and despite the players sore limbs and ocassional sore tempers, the audience was filled with conviction that these young men would give 101% at the 102nd meeting. Billy D explains the importance of dressing for success. 0 □ Liz Caiazzi reads a chapter in F.H S. Pride Compared to other schools, some facets of FHS don t always measure up. We don't have golf or soccer: we have no AP courses: some of our facilities are in desperate need of repair: and we're always running short of money for books or equipment. But there's one thing that we never run short on. and that's spirit. In that category. Fitchburg High puts most other schools to shame, and never is it more evident than at the Thanksgiving Rally. Each year cheerleaders, majorettes, and as many students as want to participate prepare dances or skits to perform in front of the student body. This year, we hopped aboard the Party Train with our cheerleaders, while the majorettes took us south with the Theme to Miami Vice. Then, came the skits. The Freshmen and Sophomores brought us back in time to catch glimpses of our stars before football fever hit them. Nothing was sacred as the actors poked fun at prominent athletes and their well-behaved extra-curricular activities. The Juniors visited the set of Saturday Night Live, featuring a special guest appearance by Mr. Berthiaume as Mr. Rogers (boys and girls, can you spell vandalism?) Many of the SNL regulars returned as well to cheer on the Raiders. Finally the Senior skit, hosted by the infamous Bubbles McColl showed a special episode of Star Search. Of course. Fitchburg High won the competition, and also of course, poor Paradis had to endure yet another jab for 28 Student Life
