lolly Kreidler, the Queen, gives the camera a beau- ful smile. Livia Racz keeps in tune. We Are One FHS! FHS! , roared throughout the stands on Homecoming day. Hundreds of red and white balloons floated into the sky to officially commence the football season and the court lit up the school float. With Holly Kreidler as Queen and Steve Femino as King, the football team already was off to a good start. While the court graced the field wearing elegant gowns and three piece suits, the float rolled around the track and the fans cheered on the team coming on the field. Everyone became one as our team defeated St. Peter-Marian, 30-0. Grasping arms, singing Mr. Touchdown, and exchanging smiles, F.H.S. fans were going strong and remained strong throughout the season. Editor's note: Members of the Homecoming Court were: Holly Seretto, Shelly Monette, Heather Himes, Rachel Maillet and Lori Siart; escorted by Juan Torres, Tim Malenfant, Mike Phaneuf, Frank Balaguer and Chris Cucchiara. The Queen was Holly Kreidler and the King was Steve Femino. Running gracefully, Mile Nelson heads up the court for the first rally of the year. 17

What in the World What in the world would make Michelle Woodard sit on Chris Cucchiara's lap, make Ron Burke sit on Mark Winters lap; make Mr. Sullivan rant and rave in a cardboard box; and make Mr. Berthiaume display his wondrous talent of belly-puffing? The answer, of course, is the Thanksgiving Day Rally. This high pitched, wild frenzy, is the annual excuse for Fitchburg High Football fans to go crazy. It is two hours of entertainment — the term used loosely — on or about the oldest high school rivalry in the I IS or THE country. Fitchburg vs. Leominster. The crowd was especially excited this year with the belief that this was to be the year of the long awaited upset. Mistress of ceremonies, Booster club president Lori Lareau, calmly introduced the cheerleaders as the opening act, and after that the place was wild. After the varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders performed some of their best cheers, it was skit time. As usual, the procrastinating class of 1985 saved the skit preparations until the last week. But, also, as usual, the class of 1985 put on a great show. Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving was a success due to the seniors personalities and props. Then again, what skit could be a failure that included Mr. Fred 'Til sell anything Sullivan and Mr. Ron how far can you stick your stomach out Berthiaume. Also deserving high honors in the Thanksgiving Day skit category was the Freshman class. Their football reunion was original, humorous and Even pregnancy can't keep Mr. Berthiaume from the stage. And now for something completely different, Rob Dassault, a man with three hands. 19
