Dedication Mr. Leslie Griffiths, as adviser to the Class of 1967, has been an understanding friend. Dur- ing the past tu'O years, his interest in us has been immeasurable. By working closely with our class officers and the chairmen of various class func- tions, Mr. Griffiths has demonstrated clearly his devotion to the seniors. His ability to accept us as young adults and to communicate with us on this basis has made him a natural choice as ad- viser. We, the Class of 1967, feel we can never begin sufficiently to repay Mr. Griffiths' many kind endeavors in our behalf. By dedicating our yearbook to Mr. Griffiths, we have tried to dem- onstrate our gratitude and warm feeling for him. Mr. Griffiths confers with class officers.

Dr. Robert H. McCarn Superintendent of Schools Dr. Robert H. McCarii received his A. B. Dei;ree aim laude from Holy Cross College in 1929. Since that time he has received an M. Ed. Decree from Boston College Graduate School of Educatitm and an honorary D. Litt. Degree from St. Francis College. Devoting much of his time to organizations and groups concerned with educational and ail- tural pursuits. Dr. McCam presently is serving as President of the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents and is on the Board of Directors of the Fitchburg Art Museum and the Community Action Committee. He is active in the American Association of School Adminis- trators, as well as in the New England AsstKia- tion of School Superintendents. Dr. McCarn has always shown genuine concern for the academic and extra-curricular achieve- ments of the students of Fitchburg High School. Under his guidance Fitchburg High School has continued to excel.
