Business The Business Department prepares students for future work in secretarial or clerical fields. For those students who excel in their studies and who receive high recommendation from their teachers, there is also the part-time program, in which students attend regular classes one week and are employed in some section within the School Department the next week. The Business Department also aids its students in se- curing employment outside of school. There is also a Typewriting Special Course for college course students, which instructs students in the methods of preparing paper work for college. To complete their business training, a great many students go to business schools. When selecting his school, the business student can always find guidance from his teachers. A little guidance office in itself, the Business Department provides students with a sound and valuable basis for future work in business fields. JOSEPH J. BUONO MISS AUGUSTA COTTONE MRS. KATHRYN M. English Through English, our native language, we convey our thoughts and emotions to others. Because our language contains the complex contributions of many for- eign tongues, it presents at times difficulties not only to foreigners, but also to native Americans. To acquaint students with good English literature, schools are compelled to provide excellent, not merely adequate, instruction. The teachers of our English department strive continually to open new vistas to the pupils through English and its correct usage. THOMAS J. ANGELOPOULOS MRS. VIRGINIA GALLANT EDWARD GASTONGUAY 12
