Zhc Boulder - 1951 PHYLLIS ELAINE GOLDMAN My words are few, my thoughts are many. Phyl i? perhaps best known as one of the quieter members of the class, yet she amazes her friends by laughing; suddenly. Beirig inter- ested in radio work, she has taken an active part in the Radio Club. She is especially capable in doing housework and seems to be the domes- tic type. Playinp Canasta is a favorite of her pastimes. We hope .she will be happy in doing whatever she decides for the future. Unusual intelligence, endless ambitions, and an all-round delightful personality are but an inadequate few of the numerous admirable qual- ities which are exhibited by Mart . This likeable miss from Shirley has come to mean much at F. H. S. Her middle name. Noble, suits her well. The seniors are rightly proud in having such a talented member in their midst, and it is hoped that Marty will realize all the happiness that she so justly deserves. SHIRLEY ROSE GUAY Happiness seems made to be shared. Good-natured, talkative, a charming personality — thats Shirley. Her ever constant giggle may have been heard at any time through the corridors of F. H. S. She is very fond of dancing, and is very skilled at it, too. After graduation Shirley would like to go into office work. We want to wish her lots of luck. Here is a cute blond miss from Westminster, who always has a cheery smile for her many friends. Avis finds a favorite pastime in swimming, which she does quite well. She can usually be found at the Cape Ann Diner in Westminster, where she enjoys her work very much. Volleyball 3. CHARLES EDWIN HALBEDEL Thou art little, hut thou shall grow. Charlie, who is one of the smallest members of our class, has a great love for hunting and fishing. He spent many days of his vacation and after school hours at these sports and more hours working at the Arn-How Dairy. One of Charlie's pri ze possessions is his 1929 Dodge car which transported him to and from school during the last few months. Charlie plans to enter the Navy after graduation. Zhc Moulder - 1 95 J BARBARA GROVE GAETZ Her smile, her speech, ivith winning li'ay, willed the darkest hours away. Barb is a tall, dark-haired lass and is a little on the quiet side. Her favorite pastime is swimming in which she excels maRniticently, Barbara is also a part-time secretary in our school guidance office. Barb's friendly disposition and ready smile will certainly lead her to success in the busi- ness world. 'olleyball ,5; Dramatic Club 4; 'ariety Revue Ticket Committee. SOPHIE CATHLEEN GASTALOS She has eyes so soft and brown. A girl with beautiful brown eyes and naturally curly hair, which are the envy of many, is Sophie. She has a friendly way and brightens each day with a cheer) greeting. After graduation Sophie will attend Johns-Hopkins Hospital to become a nurse, and we feel certain that she w ill make a fine one. ELLEN MARGARET GEORGE Ready in heart and hand to do her best. Ellen, who is one of our part-time students, has a cheerful air about her, which is the doctor's prescription to add joy to any gloomy feel- ing. Her friendl.N' way and pleasing personality will not be forgotten by her classmates for a long time to come. Ellen has no definite plans for the future, as yet, but whatever she may undertake to do will be done well. Boulder. SALLY ANN GEREMIA Cheerfulness smooths the road of life. We have been fortunate to have such an enthusiastic little bundle of pep as Sally lor a majorette. Although she is tin -, she has more pep and initiative than most of us can boast. A very well-liked girl, Sally's contagious smile is a treat. Whatever she may turn to after graduation, we may rest assured it will be well done. Basketball 2, ; N'olleyball 2, 3; Majorette . , 4; Junior Assembly. LYDLA ANN GL COMOZZI As frank as rain or cherry blossoms. Winter is the favorite season of this short, dark-haired young lady and we can understand why. The briskness of the winter weather exactly matches Lydia's peppy good spirits. Her volubility and good nature have made her a pleasant addition to our class. Her future plans are not yet definite.

Zke Moulder - 1951 JOYCE MARGARET HAMILTON Lije is not so short but there is always time for courtesy. A pert, dark-eyed lass, quiet as a mouse, is Joyce. Despite this reticence, her charming smile wins all. Joyce likes and participates in many sports, among which are basketball and volleyball. The occupa- tion which interests her most is secretarial work. Volleyball ,5; Junior-Senior Reception; Class Pla - Costume Com- mittee. JEAN LORRAINE HANKS As carefree and gay as a March breeze. Jean, with the dark brown hair, is a very talkative young lady. She is careful to make sure her words will never hurt anyone. One of her hobbies is collecting jewelry and this is proven by the assortment of rings she has. Her plans for the future — undecided. JOAN MARY HANNON She is witty, she is wise, she's a terror for her size. Fun-loving Jill is always welcome wherever she goes. She is one of those rare people who would go out of her way to do a favor for any of her host of friends. Jill is quite the athlete and excels in all sports, especially basketball. During the winter months, much of her time is spent whizzing over the basketball court down at the Reipas gym. Jill hopes to attend Fitchburg Teachers College after graduation. JOHN LEO HANNON From a little spark may burst a mighty flame. Jackie is one of the liveliest and best liked boys in our class. He has a wonderful sense of humor and does not appear to take life too seriously. Jackie works after school and is always on the go. He enjoys dancing and is one of our prize jitterbuggers. As yet he has no definite plans for the future. Junior-Senior Relay 4; Track 4; Junior Prom Committee. JOSEPH PERAULT HANNON He needs no verse to fame him, his merit true doth name him. Joe, well-known for his friendly personality, can easily be noticed by his smart manner of dress. He has popularity among the students, which his election as Good Government Day representative will attest. Joe was a mainstay of the football and track teams and took an active interest in extra-curricular activities. He has certainly done his part in making the class of '51 a good one, and we wish him luck in his col- lege career.
