Zhe tioulder - 1951 LAUREEN ANN DUNN Laughli'r and iun are my close jriends. We've never known Laureen to be anythinfi but even-dispositioned and happy. It's one of the things we like best about this blue-eyed brunette with the lovely smile. She came to Fitchburg in her sophomore ear from Westminster and quickly became one of the best-known girls of our class. Laureen is an excellent basketball player, and has starred in intramurals. We know Laureen will succeed in all she attempts. Her future plans include college. Basketball 2, 3, 4; Volleyball 2, . 4; Tennis 4; Dramatic Club 2, ,5, 4; Boulder; Junior Assembly; Junior-Senior Reception; Thanks- giving Dance Committee 4; 'ariety Revue 4; Class Play. MAUREEN DUNN Mischief dances in her eyes. Maureen is the other pretty, sparkly-eyed twin from Westminster. Because of her happv -go-lucky manner and good nature she has many friends. She especially likes to dance, swim, and pla ' basketball. Dur- ing the summer, Maureen leaves the Fitchburg scene to vacation at Ogunquit, Maine. She plans to attend a dramatic school. The best of everything, Maureen. ROGER COOK DURLING Not quiet nor loud, short nor tall Bui a pleasant meeting for them all. Roger is one of the mainstays of the Boulder's art committee, and the evidence of his artistic talent can be found in our class book. Other than art, Roger's hobbies include the making of model automobiles. A loyal F. H. S. fan, Roger can be found at all ball games and activities. Roger would like to make a career of commercial art. Boulder; Senior Prom Committee. MARILYN EDES Each mind has its own method. Maril n is a slim, neatly dressed girl with pretty brown curly hair, and a friendly manner. She loves to cook and is skilled in the art. Be- cause she is often seen eating fried clams or spaghetti, we wonder how she keeps that trim figure. Marilyn collects snakes of all kinds as a hobbv and would like to have a snake farm after graduation. RONALD HUGO ERICKSON Mixture of red hair, pep, and many moods. Tall, red-haired, and nice looking well describe Ronny. He has been one of the more ambitious members of the class who works after school. Ronny's favorite pastimes are dancing and skiing. He is a sharp dresser and has a wonderful sense of humor. His future plans are indefinite but we all wish him luck in whatever he undertakes. Zke Mder - 1951 PAULINE ELIZABETH DIGNAM Always quiet, yet always iiiaki)ij; friends with those she meets. Lovely brown eyes and an equally lovely smile — that's Pauline. Although casual acquaintances find her sweetly reserved, her close friends know her to be overflowins with enthusiasm and fun. Swimming heads her sports list followed closely by badminton. Pauline plans to be a secretary. DOLORES MARY DONNARUMMA A good disposition is more valuable than gold. Dolores, better known to her friends as Del, has light i)lue eyes which can be, on occasion, ver ' thoughtful or simply dancing with fun. She is a friend to be trusted and relied upon. A conscientious student, Dolores i.i: blessed with an unusual steadiness, which, aloni; with her wonderful disposition and spontaneous laugh, predicts success in her career as an elementary school teacher. Dramatic Club 4; Glee Club 4. JAMES HERMIDOS DUBE Gee, hut I'm a busy man. James, a prominent member of the vocational course, claims West- minster as his home. He does ver - well as a machinist and accomplishes everything he sets out to do. He works after school at Smith's Box Shop in Westminster. After graduation, he hopes to further his know- ledge of machines. We know he will succeed in his chosen field. Alternate Representative 4. GILBERT DIPPERY DUGAN A boy with a curl, ahi ays catches a girl. Gil, a peppy and spry fellow with an abundance of dramatic abilitv, has a jovial personality which has won him man - friends. He is well supplied with short, curl - dark brown hair and cheerful remarks. Danc- ing and acting are his paramount interests. Gil has the right ambition to make a success of himself in College. Dramatic Club 2, 4; Radio Club 3; Class Color Committee .5; Variety Revue 2; Competitive Pla s 3, 4. GEORGE EDWARD DUKE He is always in such perfect humor. One of the many good looking seniors, Duke is well known for his blond, curly hair and masculine build. He has a pleasing smile for all whom he greets. George took part in e.xtra-curricular activities, and is well liked for his good nature and fine personality. His future plans are California bound. Zke Moulder - 1951 NORMA LEE FAHLMAN Urr smiling eyes betray a heart of gold. Facing life with a smile is a habit with Norma who is always full of fun. In her leisure time she is usually found working at her father's bakcr -. She is fond of playing the piano and she also plays the clari- net in the high school band. Norma plans to .go into nursing after graduation. Band 2, 3, 4; Dramatic Club 4; Glee Club 2, 4; Orchestra 3, 4; Thanksgiving Dance Committee 4; Junior-Senior Reception. BRUCE DARRELL FIETZ He burns with the lire of good nature. A newcomer to our class in the middle of his senior year, Bruce lost no time in making many friends. He is carefree, always joking, and a real friend to everyone he meets. Besides puttering around his '36 Ford, he enjoys playing basketball and baseball immensely. With his merriment and good humor, Bruce may some day be a successful comedian. Baseball 4. JAMES MORTON FILZ am loathe to study; Let the world slide by. Bookkeeping, printing, music, and mountain climbing are among Jim's interests. Jim attends all the social functions and has served on many committees. At some future date he hopes to set up a print- ing business. He claims to be a logician. Debating Club 2; Glee Club 4; Boulder; Junior Prom Committee; Thanksgiving Dance Committee 4. RONALD MAX FISHER The role of my life is to make business my pleasure, and pleasure my business. Small in stature is Ronnie, but a dynamo of personality. Ever dis- plaxing a gleam of fun and mischief in his eyes, he is always willing to lend a helping hand. Besides simply being pleasant and fun to know, Ronnie has distinguished himself as manager of our footljall team. We hope he will receive in life everything he wishes for. Football Manager 2, 3, 4; Ski Club 3, 4. BURTON LINWOOD FLETCHER Never over serious, not too frivolous, but a rare good fellow. Burt the Flirt as the girls call him, is a husky senior who hails from Ashburnham. As a member of the vocational course, he has studied wood training hroughout his four years in high school. In the future, Burt expects t follow his father's footsteps in the agricultural field or join the U. S. Navy. 25
