He ranks amonj; the hi-ihest in all round popularity. His major sports interests are basketball and baseball. Jack is a wonderful fella to know. PHILIP ALBERT CHALIFOUX I'm a big man now'. Phil's sober expression and quiet manner in class is very misleadint:. He is well known for his stellar performance on the gridiron. Amons; other thinfis, Phil is quite a dancer and can frequently be seen at Teen- Town. He usualh' gets to school in the nick of time — punctually at 8:10 a.m. After graduation he plans to work on construction projects. Don, a newcomer to our class this year, came from Chelmsford High. He is blond, blue-eyed and has a crew cut. He has fitted into our class easily, and is already well known by everyone. He likes most sport? but football is his favorite. Quiet and reserved, Don will certainly be successful in whatever field he decides upon. DONALD AUSTIN CHANDLER ••1 goodly share of laughter in his eye. Don is one of our motorcycle enthusiasts. He has a motorcycle of his own and often zooms up and down Main Street with a wide grin on his face. Other hobbies and interests of his include lishing, swimming, and hunting. With his fine personality and worry-free attitude, he is sure to have a successful future. JANET MARJORIE CLAPP Always ready, always there, .Uways willing to do her share. From Janet's usually calm presence you'd never guess that the hilarious pantomines she did with Carol Wheeler have been one of the feature attractions at many F. H. S. presentations. When Janet cuts loose with that dead-pan or sicklx- grin act nobody in the hou.se can help a great big laugh. . n excellent skier, she spends much of her leisure time during the winter months whizzing down ski slopes. As Janet is an ardent lo er of animals, the veterinarian course at the L'niversity of X'ermont is her goal. Zhe Moulder - 1951 w BETTY ANN CALAMARE Had a tongue at will and yet u as never loud. Sweet is the word to describe Betty. She has a friendh' personalit and possesses many tine traits including a fine sense of humor. Bett ' has lovely li ;ht brown hair. She is a neat dresser and wears her clothes with an air of fine poise. She has an even disposition that many of us envy, and which will bring her happiness in the future. Basketball 2; Volleyball 2; Junior Assembly; Boulder. HOWARD CECIL CAMBER Tall of stature, ivide of grin. Howie is one of our apt vocational students, and definitely, every inch a gentleman. We understand he is quite anti-feminine, and this is confirmed by the shy grin which he gives each of his girl-acquaintances. DIANE ELAINE CAMERON She's here, she's there, she's all about, Lots of fun and a real good scout. Di is a very cute blond with big dimples. Because of her never exhausting vim and vigor, it is fun to be with her, and she has been the cause of many a hearty laugh in our dramatic productions. She is active in all school activities and is vice-president of Tri-Hi-Y. Di hopes to enter college in the fall. CYNTHIA ANN CAMPBELL Some like work, some like play; I'm for both. Charmingly s hy, and for that reason all the more attractive, Cyn stands out as one of our most popular blonds. She is an excellent student, due perhaps to earnest striving as well as to natural endowment. Her plans center around a career in the Waves. We all know she will have much success in future years. Zkc Mder - 1951 PHILIP NAST COFMAN No mind is lliorougly -well organized that is deficient in a sense of humor. Phil has proved himself a good sport by taking part in several stage productions. He always has a pleasant word for everyone, and seems to have a mania for ad-libbing. We think that someday Phil ma ' wind up in Mexico, after undertaking three years of the Spanish language. MILDRED VIOLA COTE knoic it is a sin, for me to sit and grin. If you chance to meet a pretty blond girl strolling most nonchalantly along the streets of Fitchburg, you'll know it's Millie. Never in a hurry, Millie is full of fun and fancy free. She is an accomplished skater and proved her skill on our stage. Millie plans to take up secretarial work in the future and we know she will be succcsful. Junior-Senior Reception; Variety Revue Ticket Committee 4. MARYRUTH COURTEMANCHE A delightful ray of vivacity. Maryruth has the gift of being able to get along with people. Be- cause of this she is the type of person that ou cnjo ' having around. All sports interest her, especially swimming. She likes her work at Burbank Hospital and hopes to make nursing her career. Basketball 2, 4; Volleyball 2, 3, 4. DAVID BREWER CRAMM His talents are of more silent class. David resides in Ashburnham, but comes here because of the machinist course offered. David is the quiet kind, but always enjoys a good laugh. For sports, he enjoys hunting and fishing along with most of the winter sports. After David graduates, he plans to go right to work. BEATRICE ANN CRESSY Happy am I, from care I am free. Why can't they all be contented like me With a great big smile, Bea greets one and all every morning. Alert and business-like, she takes her lessons seriously, and her pastimes lightly. She enjoys dancing tremendously. High school days were all too short to enjoy the company of our friendly little classmate. Such a peppy, cheerful outlook on life will surely bring an interesting future to our Bea.
