Zhe Mder - 1951 To the Class of 1951: You are about to complete your experience as high school undergraduates. For many this will be the end of formal education; others, approximately 35 per cent, will enroll at institutions of higher learning — cir- cumstances permitting. For all, June 21, 1951 represents a growing up, a maturing, a commencement of adult life and responsibilities. the militaristic tinge which colors politics and govern- ment, and the materialistic philosophy which seems to imbue the economic life of our nation, you should face the future with courage and faith. A courage to face reality, making no compromise with the truth, coupled with a steadfast faith in our way of life, and a trust in the wisdom and mercy of God, can only lead to a brighter and happier future for everyone.
