1950 EDITH ANN CHRISTIE The mildest manners combined with gentle heart. A very conscientious miss, Edith sets sood marks all the time. Al- though she is very quiet, she is well-known, and all who do know her like her. She has a fondness for all kinds of animals, but cats are a favorite of hers. Her plans for the the future include a great deal of studying, which she hopes will result in a nursing career. Debating Club, 4. LOUIS PASQUALE CIOFFI Waste not thy advantages. A smooth, black-haired boy of average height, the outstanding char- acteristic about Louis is a physique of which any man would be proud. He may be seen working at Brockelman's market behind the vegetable counter during his spare time. Louis likes all sports, but has a special fondness for basketball, in which he excels. Baseball, ,5, 4; Basketball, 2; Junior-Senior Relay, 4; Thanksgiving Dance Committee, 4. JEANNETTE MARY CLOUTHIER Merriment is a true remedy in life. Jay is a fun-loving, vivacious oung lady. Her good looks and pleasing nature have won her a host of admirers, both boys and girls. Her unfailing presence at all functions mark her as a loyal supporter of the class and the school, and will undoubtedly be the beginning of a very successful future. RONALD EDWARD COLLETTE He'll never die of overwork. One of the scientific whizzes of our class, Ronnie stars in both physics and chemistry. He is one of our many wits, since cracking jokes is another of his numerous accomplishments. Although his good humor is almost constantly evident, occasionally he max' be found in a serious mood. Dramatic Club, 2, 3, 4. DONALD EVERETT COMIRE .4 quiet manner hid the mischief in his eye. Don, who has brown eyes and black, wavy hair, is often seen wander- ing around school with a certain, cute sophomore. She is his main interest but sports come second. He likes baseball especially, and is an ardent fan of Stan Musial and the Cardinals. Junior-Senior Relay, 3, 4. 21

1950 JOAN ANGELA CALI Chatter helps the day roll by. Joanie, with her attractive appearance and pleasing personality, has made many friends during her four years at high school. She is the life of any party or group she is with, and her company is always in demand. Joanie is an active member of the class and is present at all the school functions. She is an excellent dancer and a much .sought- after partner. Dramatic Club, 3, 4; Glee Club, 2. RICHARD JOHN CAPUTI A good disposition that gold cannot buy. A very ambitious fellow, Dick spends his time after school working at Empire Shoe Rebuilders. Following a paternal influence, Dick loves to make woodworking projects. For a hobby he took up trumpet les- sons, and now it might even be his future. t night Dick can almost always be found at Maple's Luncheonette in Leominster, where he is usually surrounded by girls. Band, 2 ; Junior Assembly, 3 ; Senior Class Orchestra, 4. CHARLES EDWIN CARLSON Good humor is the health of the soul. Chuck is not only president of the Dramatic Club, but also presi- dent of the Massachusetts High School Dramatic Association. His ever- ready laugh and happy manner are distinguishing qualities. He loves baseball and plays a good game. After college, Chuck would like to either enter the radio field or play professional baseball. PAUL AUGUSTIN CASSINARI Quiet, let him dream on! A happy-go-lucky member of our class, Paul comes from the South Side. His fondness for printing is shown in his creditable work. Paul likes all sports, but his favorites are baseball and fishing. He is also an excellent partner on the dance floor. You can usually find him at Small's Store or at the Y. Baseball, 2, 3, 4; Football, 2; Junior-Senior Relay, 4; Ski Club, 3; Senior Reception to Faculty, 4. MARJORIE LOUISE CHORZEMPA A merry heart and a cheerful countenance. Margie, a lively miss who has a passion for lavender, is always bub- bling over with enthusiasm. Her remarkable sense of humor is just one of the reasons why she is so well liked by all who know her. Margie is a member of the Civil Air Patrol, the Rainbow Girls, and the Christ Church Choir. Office work will probably be included in her after grad- uation plans. 1950 RICHARD FRANCIS CONDON .4 little nonsense now and then is relished by the best of men. Dick is that handsome Irish lad with a devihsh twinkle in his eye and a bit of blarny on his tongue. He is one of our dashin? tea n' toast track men and also makes a wonderful John Alden. as Priscilla knows. Without people like Dick, life would be dull indeed. CAROL FRANCIS COULTER Take life too seriously and ' hat is it 'u:orth? A diminutive girl with a cute grin. Carol is always ready to join in on the fun. She is a proud West-Fitchburger and a real spcrts enthusiast, playing a mean game of volleyball. She enjoys life for the fun in it. She plans to go in training at St. 'incent s Hospital in Worcester. RA TVIOND ALBERT COURNOVER Good cheer is no hindrance to a good life. Ray has long been a loyal member of our class, supporting school functions faithfully. Always an especially neat dresser, he cuis quite a swath with the opposite sex. He is also an exceptionally good dancer and has a ready smile for everyone. Ray deserves success, and with his winning ways, he will certainly achieve it. Junior-Senior Relay, 3. 4; Dramatic Club. 2. 3, 4; Glee Club. 2; Competitive Play, 2. NORMAN JOSEPH COURTEMANCHE The most of a man's fortune is in his oun hands. This tall light-haired lad is noticed mostly when he goes through the town in his convertible. He has a personahty which makes a person feel completely at ease. Even though his hobby is to rest in his classes, Norman has always passed with fairly good marks. When Norman laughs you just can't help but laugh with him. Band. 2 : Senior Class Orchestra, 4. JEAN ANN COWDREY Quietness has its O'tvn charms. Jean is one of our more quiet students. She has a pleasant and friendly manner towards those she knows. She likes the color blue which matches her eyes, and therefore selects this color in many of her clothes. Jean has shown an interest in the Glee Club during her high school years. Her plans for the future are not definite. Glee Club, 2. 22
