5 The Boulier ]949 NORINE ANN CORMIER To do easily what is difficult for others is the mark of talent. In school Norine is noted for her nice smile and studious nature. She has lovely dark hair and dark eyes to go with it. Norine enjoys both semi-classical and popular music. She likes sports — particularly swimming and bowling. Norine loves to spend an afternoon by going to a picnic or a baseball game. Norine has not decided what she will do after graduation. LEON ARMAND COTE, JR. Quiet, unassu?ning, reserved, and thoughtful. Leon is one of the more serious members of our class, who has always maintained a fine scholastic standing. Though interested in many sports, his favorite is basketball. He is an active member in a youth church fellowship. Lee is a part-timer who works in the school bank for Mr. Howard. Basketball 3, 4; Junior Prom Committee 3; Junior-Senior Relay 3, 4. MARY MARGARET COURTNEY Sweetly, prettily, she winds her helpful way. Mary is the type of person who would go miles out of her way to do a favor to a friend ; yet she never asks anything for her- self. This modesty has gained for her respect and admiration from her friends. Sweet and pretty, Mary is usually quiet and retiring. We know that in the future Mary will be the same; the gentle person that she is now. Junior Prom Committee 3. RICHARD ALLEN CRAWFORD One can easily pick a wise man by the things he doesn't say. That tall slender blond whom you see walking the fourth floor corridor in the morning, seconds before the last bell is Richie. Good nature being his chief attribute makes him well liked by all. His favorite pastime is skiing on the nearby hills, but this was a bad winter for his favorite sport. It wouldn't surprise us one bit if he became another Hannes Schneider. Basketball 4; Dramatic Club 2; Ski Club 4. t 25

The Boulder 1949 RUTH MARY CLARK Come, and trip it, as you go, on the light fantastic toe. A small girl with an impish smile is Ruthie. Her attractive personality and ability to win friends, along with her high marks, have made her one of the outstanding members of the class. Ruthie has shown her talent for dancing, by performing in various school functions. Perhaps she will follow this talent in the future. Basketball 2; Dramatic Club 3, 4; Glee Club 3, 4; Junior- Senior Christmas Party 3, 4; Junior-Senior Reception 3; Senior Prom Committee 4; Write-up Committee 4; Senior Class Play 4. WILLIAM ALBERT CLOUTHIER, JR. The real character of a man is found out by his amusements. Bill is the fellow with the friendly grin, and the large collec- tion of pictures in his wallet. We notice that after every summer vacation there are a few more pictures added to his wallet. Bill is a good dancer; this helps to make him more acquaintances. He is very naval minded and expects to join the Navy in June. JEANNE MAE CORKUM Art is indeed not the bread but the wine of life. Fun-loving Jeanne is welcome wherever she goes. Besides be- ing an excellent student, she excels in art. She has designed a number of covers, for The Red Gray. After graduation Jeanne intends to enter a school of nursing. With her initiative we know she will be successful in her chosen field. Basketball 2, 3; Classbook 4; Dramatic Club 3, 4; Junior- Senior Christmas Party 4 ; Junior-Senior Reception 3 ; Senior Prom Committee 4; Volleyball 2, 3, 4. DORIS JEAN CORMIER A merry girl with a pleasant smile. Doris is friendly and smiling whenever you see her. She is one of the fortunate girls, blessed with beautiful curly hair. Dur- ing the football season you usually saw her sitting beside the coach taking his dictation — quite an attraction to the bench. She is an excellent dancer and collects all the latest hit tunes. Doris's plans for the future are not definite. Basketball 2, 3; Junior-Senior Reception 3; Tennis 2; Thanks- giving Dance Committee 4; Volleyball 2, 3. 24

Cr h The Boulder 3949 SALVATORE JOSEPH CUCCHIARA always dodge the scales. Sammy is one of the boys in the class with a good sense of humor. He can always be found in a crowd by his deep and cheer- ful laugh. Sammy is an example of the saying A fat man is al- ways jolly. After graduation he plans to continue his education. Band 2; Debating Club 4, Dramatic Club 4, Junior-Senior Reception 4; Junior-Senior Christmas Party 3. 'Zef ZEROON DAMBOORAJIAN Jolly, well-liked, a good student, too. as he is known to all, is a dark-haired boy with a mischievous twinkle in his eye. He's always ready for a good time and the East Side certainly isn't dull with Zet's living there. He is an exceptionally good student and a Gold F student. Zet hopes to be a pharmacist. Class Motto Committee 3; Debating Club 3; Glee Club 2; Home Room Representative 2; Alternate Representative 3; Junior-Senior Relay 3. GERALD PHILIP DARCANGELO To be of use in the world is the only way to be happy. One of the busiest and most useful members of our class, Jerry has served as president of the student council and was elected State Senator on Good Government day. Jerry's personality holds forth under any circumstances. He always has a ready smile and a friendly word for all. As an actor, Jerry has made quite a hit with the F.H.S. audiences. Jerry plans to join Uncle Sam's Navy and we see that he already has his sea legs, if you know what we mean. Dramatic Club 3, 4; Football 2, 3; Home Room Representa- tive 3, 4 ; Junior Assembly 3 ; Junior-Senior Christmas Party 3, 4; Junior-Senior Reception 3; Junior-Senior Relay 3; Red Gray Board 4; Student Council 3, 4; Write-up Committee 4. NOEL DAVIS The man who keeps his temper is immeasurably stronger than he who loses it. Noel is, without a doubt, the only boy in the history of the school who has cheered for both Fitchburg and Leominster on Thanksgiving Day. You see, he lives in Leominster, where his father is principal of Leominster High School. He is wide awake in a classroom, and he comes out with some pretty brilliant an- swers. Already, this well-liked boy has drawn quite a few friends to him. Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4; Junior-Senior Reception 3; Ski Club 4; Tennis 4; Intramural Basketball 4. 26
