6 The Boulder ]949 GENEVIEVE BARBARA CAISSEY Cheerfulness is a friend of grace. Genny has short, blonde hair and marvelous twinkling eyes. She is very well known for her initiative and sparkling personality. Genny makes studying seem enjoyable, and study she does. She has been an honor student since she has been in high school. Genny is very fond of dancing and tries to do as much of it as is pos- sible. Her favorite subject is bookkeeping and she is very interested in that type of work. Genny is working part-time in a downtown office but has no definite plans for the future. Basketball 2 ; Glee Club 3 ; Junior Assembly 3 ; Junior-Senior Reception 3; Senior Assembly 4; Volleyball 2; Write-up Com- mittee 4; Radio Club 3. JOSEPH WILFRED CAOUETTE Always agreeable and cheerful is he. Joe, with his curly hair and infectious smile, comes down to us from the wilds of South Ashburnham. He is quiet in manner but still very active. His favorite outdoor recreations are hunting and fishing, while basketball is his indoor favorite. Since he is adept at taxidermy, Joe can stuff the animals he shoots. Joe in- tends to begin his career as a Navy man in June. ARTHUR LAWRENCE CAPONE He is small, but oh my!! L'll Art or Cap , as he is called by his friends, is one of our outstanding athletes. Cap was chosen the most valuable football player during his senior year and was elected co-captain of the football team. He is the proud owner of one of the best tenor voices in school and is one of the few boys who owns his own car. He is very good-natured and enjoys a good time, although he has his serious moments. Arthur's plans for the future are to join the U. S. Navy. We all wish L'll Art luck in the future. Baseball 2, 3, 4; Basketball 2, 3, 4; Dramatic Club 3, 4; Football 2, 3, 4; Glee Club 2; Home Room Representative 4; Junior Prom Committee 3; Junior-Senior Christmas Party 3; Junior-Senior Reception 3; Junior-Senior Relay 3, 4; Senior Prom Committee 4; State Representative 4. BLANCHE IRENE CARBONNEAU Red hair and brown eyes are a lovely combination. Blanche, the lively red-head whom we inherited from St. Ber- nard's High School two years ago, plans to enter Burbank Hospital nurses training school after graduation. There is no number to the friends she has from both schools. Blanche's main interests lie in dancing and attending the cinema. With a personality like hers she will win many a patients heart. The Boulder 1949 DENNIS FRANCIS BRAILEY I'll be merry, I'll be free; I'll be sad for nobody. Dennis is the popular manager of our baseball and basketball teams and he does a good job for both; just ask the boys who play. He is one of the quieter members of our class, although he is very lively with his intimate friends. He has a ready sense of humor and keeps things hopping with his witty remarks in Chem class. We hear he is planning to run for mayor of High- land Avenue. We hope he makes it. Baseball Manager 3, 4; Basketball Manager 3. JACK RICHARD BRAKS They are never alone who are accompanied by noble thoughts. Dick, a very active member of our class, is the treasurer of our student council and editor of the Boulder. He is well-liked by all his classmates. He is a crack at baseball, and outstanding on the basketball court. Although he may appear quiet and rather reserved, he is a fun-loving, good-humored, boy who will certainly go far. Dick plans to enter some field of engineering after gradua- tion. Baseball 2, 3, 4; Basketball 3, 4; Glee Club 2; Junior-Senior Reception 3; Junior-Senior Relay 3, 4; Senior Prom Committee 4; Student Council 2, 3, 4; Editor of Classbook 4. BETTINA BROOKS Silence is more eloquent than words. A quiet girl with beautiful hazel eyes is Tina . She is right at home on a basketball court. Another of her favorite sports is skiing. She has proven her skill in knitting by those sharp sweaters and socks she wears. Her good humor and pleasant ways have won many friends for Tina . Keep that cheery smile and sparkling personality and you will be happy. Although she is undecided about the future, we know she will always be successful. Basketball 2, 3, 4; Volleyball 2, 3, 4; Woman's Club 4. NANCY LOUISE BROWNELL A smile that glows with friendship. Nancy is a snappy little girl with a flair for the unusual. She appears quiet and subdued, but her many good friends know that she is full of fun, and loves nothing better than an evening with her companions. She is an ardent sports enthusiast and is especially fond of swimming and dancing. A little office work and home- making seem to be in Nancy's plans. Of the athletic type, he played tackle on our football team during his high school career. His German clip is the envy of all of us, and we have seldom seen him without one. Jim hasn't decided what he will do after he leaves F.H.S. Dramatic Club 4; Football 2, 3, 4; Junior Assembly 3; Junior Prom Committee 3; Junior-Senior Christmas Party 3; Junior- Senior Reception 3; Thanksgiving Dance Committee. DAMON ARMISTICE CARLETON Intermingled mirth and earnestness. A tall, good-looking boy from South Ashburnham, Damon is a really sincere fellow. He has the unusual hobby of raising racing pigeons. He likes all active outdoor sports, especially baseball and football. Some branch of the armed services will be Damon' occupation. futur DAVID WALKER CARLSON He may appear studious, but is not truthfully so. Dave or Brud , as he is called, is one of those happy-go- lucky, extremely cheerful boys who never lets anything bother him. His fine work as manager of the football squad will not be for- gotten for quite a while. Brud's hearty laugh can be heard everywhere, especially in English class. After graduation Dave is very much interested in going to an aviation school in Indiana and we know with his irresistible charm he is sure to have good fortune. DONALD EARL CASWELL Casey would waltz with the strawberry blond and the band played on. Due to Donald's ability to dance, he is much in demand at all dances he attends. He is one of the many boys who is always trying to brighten up a quiet classroom with his never-ceasing pranks. If you frequently visit Westminster you have probably seen him delivering groceries for Johnny's Market. One of his favorite sports is swimming, and how the girls admire his manly muscles.
