The Boulder 1949 DENNIS FRANCIS BRAILEY I'll be merry, I'll be free; I'll be sad for nobody. Dennis is the popular manager of our baseball and basketball teams and he does a good job for both; just ask the boys who play. He is one of the quieter members of our class, although he is very lively with his intimate friends. He has a ready sense of humor and keeps things hopping with his witty remarks in Chem class. We hear he is planning to run for mayor of High- land Avenue. We hope he makes it. Baseball Manager 3, 4; Basketball Manager 3. JACK RICHARD BRAKS They are never alone who are accompanied by noble thoughts. Dick, a very active member of our class, is the treasurer of our student council and editor of the Boulder. He is well-liked by all his classmates. He is a crack at baseball, and outstanding on the basketball court. Although he may appear quiet and rather reserved, he is a fun-loving, good-humored, boy who will certainly go far. Dick plans to enter some field of engineering after gradua- tion. BETTINA BROOKS Silence is more eloquent than words. A quiet girl with beautiful hazel eyes is Tina . She is right at home on a basketball court. Another of her favorite sports is skiing. She has proven her skill in knitting by those sharp sweaters and socks she wears. Her good humor and pleasant ways have won many friends for Tina . Keep that cheery smile and sparkling personality and you will be happy. Although she is undecided about the future, we know she will always be successful. Basketball 2, 3, 4; Volleyball 2, 3, 4; Woman's Club 4. NANCY LOUISE BROWNELL A smile that glows with friendship. Nancy is a snappy little girl with a flair for the unusual. She appears quiet and subdued, but her many good friends know that she is full of fun, and loves nothing better than an evening with her companions. She is an ardent sports enthusiast and is especially fond of swimming and dancing. A little office work and home- making seem to be in Nancy's plans. The Boulder ]949 o WILLIAM EDWARD BERNIER only the ivorld were made of snow. Bill is one of the finest skiers in F.H.S. He eats, sleeps, thinks, and talks skiing. Bill has won quite a few medals for racing on skis but being a little bashful, he doesn't say much about them. Bill was one of our gridiron stalwarts this past season and played a very good game as guard. He has an outstanding personality and all who know him are attracted to him. One of his little known attributes is his musical ability. Why the crew cut all the time, Bill? After high school she plans to go into nursing. Round Table 4. LILLIAN JEANNE BOSSERDET Brooklyn born and proud of it. Lil , as she is better known to her friends, is a girl who is always raring to go. She wears really sharp clothes and can usually be seen with her inseparable friend Nancy. Lil is an active member of the student council. If she is in a good mood, as she usually is, Lil will put on her Brooklyn accent for you. Lillian plans to go to a secretarial school in New York after graduation and we wish her all the luck in the world. He has not made any plans for the future, but at present he is working at a Drug Store in Shirley. 19
