CP The Boulder ]949 CLAIRE LUCILLE BEAULAC Quietude with flashes of humor. Claire is one of our modest, unassuming classmates who does everything in a thorough efficient manner. She's of medium height, slim, and has a merry twinkle in her eyes that somewhat belies her nature. Being industrious in her studies, Claire should make good in anything she tries to do after graduation. Basketball 2, 3. ROBERT LEON BEGIN Humor is the harmony in the heart. Bob is a talkative, fun-loving fellow who is always ready for a good time. It can never be truthfully said that Bob has ever been at a loss for words. He is an enthusiastic sports fan who rarely misses a game. He is a very good bowler and belonged to the bowling team at F.H.S. Junior-Senior Relay 3. PAUL JOSEPH BELLETETE You all know him — happy, full of fun, He coaxes a smile from everyone: Paul comes from the little town of South Ashburnham, where he is noted for attending all of the old fashioned square dances. During the winter months he spends much of his time skating on the ponds in and near his home town. Paul spends much of his time at the movies. Paul has no definite plans for the future. ROBERT ARTHUR BERNDT Virtue alone is true nobility. Beans is one of our Turner Hall boys. We hear he is quite good on the basketball floor there. You've heard the saying to be seen and not heard ; that describes Beans' basketball playing. Bob was one of our better ball players in the intra-mural league. He may usually be seen wearing his bright red Monarch jacket. The thing that puzzles us most is, Where did you get the name Beans ? Basketball 3. 18

The Boulder 1949 JOAN BEVERLY ATWOOD Shy and demure in looks is she. Joan is a quiet lass with light brown hair. She is extremely well-liked by her classmates and all who know her. A very active person, she particularly enjoys basketball and bowling. Good music and good books occupy permanent places in her heart. During her senior year, Joan was a very valuable member of the class-book committee. After graduation, Joan plans to attend a secretarial school. Basketball 2, 3; Glee Club 2, 3, 4; Junior Assembly 3; Volleyball 2, 3, 4; Write-up Committee 4. CARL GRISWOLD BADSTIIBNER What a wondrous life is this I lead. Carl, one of those tall, dark, silent boys, shows a great interest in the Science Department. He is a lover of sports, enjoys watching the athletic contests as well as participating in them. So far as we know, Carl has no plans for the immediate future, although he is thinking of attending some school of science. Junior Assembly 3 ; Thanksgiving Dance Committee 4. GEORGE ADOLPHE BEAUCHAMP Happiness seems to be made to be shared. Fuzzy can make you grin in a jiffy. His wonderful humor takes away all your worries. Fuzzy, who likes track, can be seen at all of our track teams' meets. Formerly he worked at the Fitch- burg Theatre where he saw all the latest movies, but now his television set takes the place of the movies. Ski Club 4. EUGENE JOSEPH BEAUDETTE Men of jew words are the best. Gene came to us from Leominster High School at the begin- ning of his junior year, but because of his good looks and quiet ways has made inumerable friends during his brief stay. He hopes to play professional baseball when he gets out of school. Good luck, Gene; the Boston Red Sox need a good left-handed pitcher. Baseball 3, 4. 17

Bill was one of our gridiron stalwarts this past season and played a very good game as guard. He has an outstanding personality and all who know him are attracted to him. After high school she plans to go into nursing. Round Table 4. LILLIAN JEANNE BOSSERDET Brooklyn born and proud of it. Lil , as she is better known to her friends, is a girl who is always raring to go. She wears really sharp clothes and can usually be seen with her inseparable friend Nancy.
