The Boulder 1949 JOAN BEVERLY ATWOOD Shy and demure in looks is she. Joan is a quiet lass with light brown hair. She is extremely well-liked by her classmates and all who know her. A very active person, she particularly enjoys basketball and bowling. Good music and good books occupy permanent places in her heart. During her senior year, Joan was a very valuable member of the class-book committee. After graduation, Joan plans to attend a secretarial school. Basketball 2, 3; Glee Club 2, 3, 4; Junior Assembly 3; Volleyball 2, 3, 4; Write-up Committee 4. CARL GRISWOLD BADSTIIBNER What a wondrous life is this I lead. Carl, one of those tall, dark, silent boys, shows a great interest in the Science Department. He is a lover of sports, enjoys watching the athletic contests as well as participating in them. So far as we know, Carl has no plans for the immediate future, although he is thinking of attending some school of science. Junior Assembly 3 ; Thanksgiving Dance Committee 4. GEORGE ADOLPHE BEAUCHAMP Happiness seems to be made to be shared. Fuzzy can make you grin in a jiffy. His wonderful humor takes away all your worries. Fuzzy, who likes track, can be seen at all of our track teams' meets. Formerly he worked at the Fitch- burg Theatre where he saw all the latest movies, but now his television set takes the place of the movies. Ski Club 4. EUGENE JOSEPH BEAUDETTE Men of jew words are the best. Gene came to us from Leominster High School at the begin- ning of his junior year, but because of his good looks and quiet ways has made inumerable friends during his brief stay. He hopes to play professional baseball when he gets out of school. Good luck, Gene; the Boston Red Sox need a good left-handed pitcher. Baseball 3, 4. 17

The Boulder ]949 MARGUERITE MAY AMBI.O Breezy and jolly is she always. A true friend and a conscientious student, Marguerite is always good natured and ready to help anyone in need. The lovely red cheeks and the sweet voice of Marguerite are really something to see and hear. Her favorite sport is skiing and, of course, she excels in it as she does in everything she attempts. Marguerite plans to go to college and to become an airline hostess. Dramatic Club 2; Glee Club 2. NANCY EMILY ANDERSON You can't beat me for all-around cheeriness. A girl who never hurries describes Nan to the letter. She may always be seen sauntering slowly down the corridor. She has merry blue eyes that twinkle mischievously when she smiles. Her favorite pastime is waiting outside a classroom until the last bell has rung. Glee Club 2, 3; Volleyball 2. JAMES ANGELOS The life of all classes, and the death of all teachers. Make, as he is better known to everyone, is truly what his quotation says. He is continually laughing and joking with some- one and usually succeeds in making his companion laugh too. His efforts as a cheerleader for the past four years have made us more lively and peppy at all of our athletic contests. One of his famous sayings is What a boner I just pulled. He can be recognized by his crop of black hair and dashing walk. Make is so small he has to take two steps before he moves. Cheerleader 1, 2, 3, 4; Basketball 3, 4; Home Room Repre- sentative 2 ; Alternate Representative 4 ; Junior Assembly 3 ; Junior-Senior Reception 3 ; Junior-Senior Relay 3 ; Senior Assembly 4 ; Student Council 2, 3, 4 ; Write-up Committee 4 ; Senior Class Play ; Variety Review 3, 4. BARBARA ANN ARAUJO A merry heart doeth like a medicine. Because she has a friendly personality and a fine sense of humor, Barb is the type of girl everyone enjoys having around. She has been the captain of many winning teams in gym classes. Her hobbies are dancing, volleyball, and basketball. Her future plans are undecided. Basketball 2, 3; Glee Club 2, 3; Junior-Senior Reception 3; Senior Assembly 4; Volleyball 2, 3, 4;' Variety Review 3, 4. 16

CP The Boulder ]949 CLAIRE LUCILLE BEAULAC Quietude with flashes of humor. Claire is one of our modest, unassuming classmates who does everything in a thorough efficient manner. She's of medium height, slim, and has a merry twinkle in her eyes that somewhat belies her nature. Being industrious in her studies, Claire should make good in anything she tries to do after graduation. Basketball 2, 3. ROBERT LEON BEGIN Humor is the harmony in the heart. Bob is a talkative, fun-loving fellow who is always ready for a good time. It can never be truthfully said that Bob has ever been at a loss for words. He is an enthusiastic sports fan who rarely misses a game. He is a very good bowler and belonged to the bowling team at F.H.S. Junior-Senior Relay 3. PAUL JOSEPH BELLETETE You all know him — happy, full of fun, He coaxes a smile from everyone: Paul comes from the little town of South Ashburnham, where he is noted for attending all of the old fashioned square dances. During the winter months he spends much of his time skating on the ponds in and near his home town. Paul spends much of his time at the movies. Paul has no definite plans for the future. ROBERT ARTHUR BERNDT Virtue alone is true nobility. Beans is one of our Turner Hall boys. We hear he is quite good on the basketball floor there. You've heard the saying to be seen and not heard ; that describes Beans' basketball playing. Bob was one of our better ball players in the intra-mural league. He may usually be seen wearing his bright red Monarch jacket. The thing that puzzles us most is, Where did you get the name Beans ? Basketball 3. 18
