Mona is full of life and likes many things. She has fascinated us often with her fine dancing. Her expression and grace are really something to see. Eddie is also very popular with girls; maybe one of the reasons for this is his excellent dancing. One of the finest saxophone players in the school, he has demonstrated his ability for us at many school functions. Being sports-minded, Eddie plays basketball in a league at the Y . He also ran for us in the junior-senior relay. The Navy is the course which Eddie will chart after graduation. Band 2, 3; Home Room Representative 2; Junior-Senior Relay 3, 4; Orchestra 2, 3. 13

The Boulder ]949 o2 CLASS OFFICERS NORMAN PAUL GOGUEN Friends he has; foes not any. The good-looking young man pictured here was the best choice for president that the class of '49 could have made. A versatile lad. Red has the ability to do everything well. He played as half back on our football team, and a star guard and captain of the basketball squad. Besides these two spor ts, Red has been a rather exceptional track man. In 1947 he won the state 100 yard dash championship. Red has shown his ability in dramatics as well as in athletics. He had roles in both the senior open meeting play, and the senior class play. He also acted as a brilli- ant and charming master of ceremonies at the junior-senior recep- tion and at the variety revue. Being popular with his classmates, Red was chosen as the representative of our school on good gov- ernment day. Due to her ex- cellent performance in the open meeting of the Dramatic Club during her Sophomore year, she was awarded the prize for the best actress of the play. The Boulder ]949 CARL EDWARD ABLETT Bashjulness is an ornament to youth. Eddie is one of those bashful senior boys. He comes from Shirley Center. Eddie does very well in his school work and his name is always on the honor roll. Like quite a few others, he is interested in stamp collecting and has many interesting and valu- able specimens in his collection. Eddie would like to join the air force after graduation. Happy landings, Ed! FRANCES RUTH ADAMS Kind and quiet and always neat, She'll find friends in all she meets. Although Fran is rather shy in the classroom she is really a very gay and lively girl. Her merry smile and happy greetings are responsible for her many friends. One can always count on her to have a good time. Fran is an ardent sports fan being principally interested in swimming. She is always willing to lend a helping hand. R ALPH GWYNNE ADAMS His good humor overcomes all obstacles. Bud can always be identified by his flashy neckties. He is one of the few boys who now wear them all the time and so he takes advantage of the fact. Bud has a nice line of chatter and with it he can persuade any one to do just what he wants. He can also be seen driving his sporty Ford or the family's new Mercury. If you ask him, he will give you a ride. Band 2. FRANKLIN CHARLES ALARIO The world belongs to the energetic. Babe, as he is called by his friends, may be seen working at Brockelman's store at almost any time of the day. He is an ardent sports fan, baseball being the favorite.
