AGNES ARMINA DEROIAN Her quiet nature seemed to be tuned to each season' s harmony. Aggie is that quiet girl with the jet black hair. Her olive complexion contrasts beautifully with her ebony halo. Since child- hood she has sung with the Christ Church choir. Her zeal for sports may be readily deduced by her presence at all school games. During her senior year she worked part-time for Mr. Butler and Mr. Dufour. She plans to become a secretary. HARDY DERON DEROIAN Speech is good, but silence is golden. Hardy is interested in things military and particularly in that phase of it that deals with aviation. Not only does he fly but he has studied the mechanics connected with planes. He also likes photography, belongs to the Camera Club, and keeps busy taking pictures. He manages to find time to get a true grasp of his school subjects and keep up on world affairs. Camera Club BETTY LOUISE DESCHENES hi every gesture, dignity. Peaches is a tall pretty blonde, noted for her sweet smile and attractive clothes. She does excellent school work, works after school and still has time for numerous hobbies. Peaches collects toy dogs; she likes swimming, particularly in Maine, enjoys ice skating and driving an automobile. She has no definite plans for the future but would like to go to college. Gold F BARBARA ANN DESMOND Good nature is a charm that wins nany friends. Bobby is tall, has beautiful eyes, and hails from the little town of Shirley. She is one of our livelier classmates, always ready for a good time. Horseback riding is one of her favorite sports, but she excels in most. Bobby can usually be seen refusing gum on the fourth floor. Field Hockey 2, Basketball, Volleyball 2, 5, 4, Junior Prom Committee 5. Senior Dues Committee, Dramatic Club 4 PHYLLIS THERESA DESMOND The joy oj youth and health, her eyes displayed. And ease oj heart her every look conveyed. Phyl, the other half of the Desmond twins, has many of the characteristics, likes, and dislikes which are noted in Bobby. Only her closest friends can distinguish Phyl from her twin. However there are differences which can be noted by those of us who have come to know her. After graduation Phyl would like to be a dental hygienist. He is in the wootl- working course. He has no idea of wh at he will do after leaving school but may prove to be the one with the solution for the housing shortage. FRANCIS NORMAN DAUPHINAIS My chief pleasure lies in my work. Duffy is another one of the fellows from West Fitchburg. He really enjoys his work whatever it may be. Of a rather quiet nature, he is usually very well dressed. Hunting, fishing, and hockey are of great interest to Duffy. ELEANOR MAE DEGEN My, how she can talk. Gifted with lovely brown eyes, cheerfulness, and common sense, Ellie is as true a friend as anyone might want to have. One of her favorite activities is horseback riding. She finds it difficult to resist buying attractive jewelry. Ellie's interests, after gradur.tion, are directed toward the nursing profession. Diz has a very pleasing personality and her wittiness makes her well liked by all whom she meets. Although she appears to be quiet she makes a very sincere friend. She loves to roller skate and IS quite a fourteen-step art'st on them. Her future plans are not definite but we hear that she would like to be a hairdresser. Basketball 1, 2, Dramatic Club 2, 3 NANCY MARY DERDERIAN Without a little laughter there is no joy. Nancy is a very conscientious student who has earned excellent grades from the very beginning. She has a very agreeable and lovable nature. Though she may seem a wee bit shy to most people, Nancy really is an active young , lady, a loyal and true friend. The Boulder JEAN ELLEN DE SOUSA A mhs, lull of fivace. force, and fascination. Jean is always happy, full of excitement and gaiety. She has a pleasing smile and a bubbling personality. Her friends find her heaps of fun. Roller skating rates first with Jean in sports. When winter rolls around ice skating is tops with her. The future — maybe the Ice Follies. Basketball, Volleyball 2 MARY DE PERRI Dark hair, dark eyes, a pleasant combination. Mary has long, jet black hair. She is one of the few senior girls who have a driver's license. Her efficiency and orderliness have been shown through her duties as a part-timer in the office. Sports have always interested her, and way back in grammar school she was quite a volleyball star. She plans to cont'.nue in the business iield. Basketball 2, 3, Volleyball 3 JAMES DI PRIMA The music of the orchestra was not a fault of mine. Jimmy is liked by everyone. No matter when you meet him he his a smile for you. When it comes to playing the trumpet, Jimmy is a second Harry James. He has no definite plans for the future, but if he goes on with his music, he should be a real success. Nance is the latest addition to our class — having dropped in on us at the mid-year mark in our senior year. She spent her high school time between Lunenburg High and Cushing Academy. She is a lover of athletics, having participated in basketball and field hockey. She has taken part in dramatics in both schools. Her pleasant disposition should win her many friends during the re- mainder of her stay with us. MARIAN KATHERINE DONAHUE A light heart lives long. Marian is one small town gal who spends most of her time horseback riding. She has her own horse and is an excellent rider. Because she has to catch a bus right after school, not too many people really know her. However, when you see laughing brown eyes and a pleasant smile, you'll know it's Marian. 28
