Bettina Marie Asselta Smile and the world smiles with you. Councillor, 3. Betty is known for her humorous sallies indulged in at the right time. She enjoys dancing very much and her favorite sports are football and basketball. Betty wants very much to become a dietician and is planning to enter Simmons College . Joyce Anne Baker A merry heart goes on all day. Dramatic Club, 2, 3, 4. Joyce is sincere and loyal. She enjoys all kinds of sports, and loves to be out in the fresh air. Physical training is her specialty. She plans to become an expert in that field of teaching. Amy Louise Barholm A girl light-hearted and content. Dramatic Club, 4. Amy is a quiet girl who enjoys studying very much. She is very interested in all school affairs. Basketball and football are her favorite sports. We haven't heard her plans for the future. Beverly Ann Barrett The sweetest manner, and the gentlest heart. Class Color Committee, 3, Dramatic Club, Class Ring Committee, Class Prophecy, Councillor, 4. Bev has a peaches and cream complexion and a sweet face to look at. She has beautiful clothes, many of which she has made. Bev would make an ideal secretary. Joanne Therese Barihel In whose little body lodged a merry heart. Basketball, Dramatic Club, 2, 3, 4, Junior Prom Com- mittee, 3, Glee Club, 4. Joanne is a Westminster girl with a nice smile and a wonderful sense of humor. Joanne likes basketball and ice skating. She would like to enter the medical pro- fession. Helen Genevieve Basque Happy am I, from care I am free. Helen has a friendly personality and possesses many fine traits including a sense of humor. She is a part- timer working for Mr. Butler and Mr. Dufour. Helen is a very capable bookkeeper and plans to continue in that field. Jacqueline Helene Battles Laughter and I are the best of friends. Dramatic Club, 3, 4. Jackie is the girl with a love for fun and laughter, ana for horses,' She can often be seen riding through West- minster or else her mind will be on movies and her col- lection of movie stars' p ictures. Jackie will enter Worcester Girls' Trade to study hairdressing. Judith Phyllis Beaion A merry he'art is a good medicine. Basketball, 1, 2, 3, 4, Volleyball, Dramatic Club, 1, 2, 4. Judy is one of those rare people who are never wor- ried, and never worry other people. She has a friendly disposition and a kind word for everyone. CLASS OF '46 Eleanor Irene Aho tier golden locks hang on her temples like a golden fleece. Volleyball, 1, Dramatic Club, 3. 4. Eleanor is the teacher's pride and joy and is always ready with the right answer whether in clars or out. She goes about her business with a quiet and unassuming air. She has a sweet smile, a twinkle in her eye, and beauti- ful flaxen hair. Dorothy Irene Ahola She's just an all- American girl. Basketball, Volleyball, Dramatic Club, 2, 3, 4, Field Hockey, 3, 4, Class Book Committee, Glee Club, Debat- ing Club, 4. Dot has a beautiful complexion and an ardent love for outdoor sports. Most of Dot's time is taken up with the Tri-Hi-Y of which she is president. There's always fun when Dot's around. She plans to attend Berkeley Secre- tarial School. Mary Louise Alario Quiet and kind, always neat. Dramatic Club, 3. Lovely dark, wavy hair and dark eyes make Mary attractive. She enjoys all sports, especially dancing. You may often see her at Whalom Ballroom or the Armory. She wishes an office job after graduation. Margaret Lucille Allen A pleasant maid of the quiet kind. Dramatic Club, 3. Margaret has dark eyes, dark hair, and a lovely com- plexion. She enjoys listening to recordings by popular singers and top band leaders as well as bowling and going to the movies. Margaret would like to go to col- lege. Dorothy May Ames A decent boldness ever meets with friends. Basketball, 2, 3, 4, Dramatic Club, 3. Dot is a tall red-haired young lady. She likes swim- ming and skating and is a member of the Billis. Much of her spare time is spent in writing letters. Dot will enter the nursing profession. Stella Angelos Her air, her manner, all who saw admired. Volleyball, 2, Basketball, Junior Prom Committee, 3, Dramatic Club, 3, 4. Stella greets you with a smile which shows two rows of pearl white teeth. She is a part-timer, working with Miss Mattson. She loves sports, especially bowling, and has a flair for sport clothes. Soon her classmates may be going to Stella for a new hairdo. Doris Mary Arsenault Quiet is she, forsooth, not vain. Doris is a pert little girl with brown hair and a friendly manner. She likes skating, skiing, and dancing. After graduation she plans to study nursing. Helen Aino Asiala In your patience you are strong. Dramatic Club, 2, 3, 4, Glee Club, 4. Helen is a tall, blond girl with a quiet manner. She is especially fond of swimming as well as bowling. She spends many leisure hours knitting. Helen plans to attend Becker's Business College. CLASS OF '46 Eunice Marie Beauchemin Youth is the time for pleasure. Glee Club, 3, Dramatic Club, 3, 4. Eunice is a quiet person with a pleasant disposition, but a rather retiring manner. She spends a great deal of her time singing in the choir of her church. Eunice also en- joys caring for children. After graduation she plans to do bookkeeping. Jeanne Beauregard Her eyes were bright and merry. Basketball, 2, 3, Glee Club, 2, 3, 4, Junior Prom Com ■ mittee, 3, Dramatic Club, 3, 4, Majorette, 4. Jon is a dark, attractive girl who always wears gay plaid skirts and Sloppy Joe sweaters. Jon is never known to miss a dance. For the past three years, she has worked at Allen's Market. Marjorie Billington To women silence gives its grace. Marge is a quiet, studious brunette. Outside of school her quietness disappears. Her favorite pastime is dancing. After graduation Marge plans to become a nurse. Even now she has a good bedside manner. Claire Jane Boeckh A gentle smile as she passes by. Basketball, 2, 3, Dramatic Club, Glee Club, 2, 3, 4, Motto Committee, 3, Write-Up Committee, 4. Becky is one of the smallest members of our class. Much of her spare time is spent at Reipas Gym, where she has acquired her basketball skill. Becky is constantly kept busy with after-school work, church organizations, dancing, and writing letters. Secretarial work is her future ambition. Therese Deneige Boudreau Always happy, always gay. Dramatic Club, 2, Basketball, 2, 3, 4, Volleyball, 3, Majorette. Denny is a cheerful Westminster girl. She is a mem- ber of the Co-ed Club, and enjoys dancing and roller skating, and all her friends will tell you that she is good ac both of these. Her work this year as Miss Mattson's helper gives her a good start for her career. Roberta Bourasso So wonderous sweet and fair. Black-haired, brown-eyed Bobbie appears reserved but inside she is bubbling with vitality. We will always remember her beautiful Denishawn, especially her o ut- standing work at the Junior-Senior Reception. When no t dancing or doing homework, she plays tennis and it's generally known she plays a fast game. Bobbie would like to be a doctor. Neoma Claire Brackett Silence best speaks her mind. Dramatic Club, 4. Neoma is one of our quiet general course students. During her spare time she attends some movies. She is also fond of dancing. Neoma plans to become a hair- dresser. Hellen Agness Brailey Kindness has resistless charms. Basketball, 2, 3, Dramatic Club, 4. Hellen likes bowling, basketball, volleyball, and bicycle riding. Winchendon Springs must hold some big attrac- tion as her bike rides generally bring her there. After graduation she would like to take up hairdressing. [ A ;ro 21
