THE BOULDER Irving Henry Kinsley No worries ever trouble him. Glee Club, Baseball 4. Irving is the fellow with the blond wavy hair and he comes from the East Side. He attends most all school functions, especially dances and football games. He likes ail kinds of outdoor sports. Irv likes to play ping-pong and they say he is pretty good. Toivo Armas Lampi For he is a jolly good fellow. Football 2, 3, 4, Baseball 3, 4. Toi, one of the southsiders, is seldom seen with girls, but is a regular fellow among the boys. He is interested in all sports and he has been an active player on the high school football and baseball teams in both his junior and senior years. Alvah Veikko Lamsa He is an ingenuous lad. A tall, slim fellow with glasses, Alvah has a brand of humor all his own. He is a whiz at math, a subject that mystifies most of us. Though he is a very quiet fellow, he is very likeable. He plans to go to college. Rudolph Edward Lareau To will is to succeed. Class Color Committee, 3, Dramatic Club. Rudy is a quiet, good-humored senior, whose greatest interest in school is in his art class. He has done some fine work in Miss Nason's class. He hopes to continue his study of art. Albert Roswell LaRoche They who are faithful to themselves find happiness. Dramatic Club 2, 3. Here is a bright young man who doesn't like studying, but is never seen without an open book in front of him. He is a well liked orderly at Burbank Hospital. His ambition is to become an X-ray therapist. Roger Onnond Leonard We'll have a swashing and a martial outside. Dramatic Club 1, 3, 4, Relay 3. Rog is a tall fellow with brown hair. His main interests are in athletics. Although he doesn't play on the school team, he is a very good basketball player. After high school, he will enter the Marines. Fred Levitan A finished gentleman from top to toe. Football 2, 3. Fred is one good looking senior who takes his studies nonchalantly. Fred is a flawless dresser and is fond of merry-making. He is an accomplished dancer and an excellent swimmer. Fred hopes to attend business school. Robert Edward Lidberg He is .always light of heart. Basketball. Lindy, as he is called by many, is a little fellow, but size is of little account. He is fond of basketball and has spent many afternoons playing at the Y. He is very quick and olever in a basketball game, especially for F. H. S. PAGE 18

CLASS OF '46 Joseph Francis Grammel toot my own horn. Junior-Senior Reception 3, Dramatic Club 3, 4. Joe is a happy carefree fellow whose main recreations are dancing and bowling. While in school he likes to debate with anyone who is willing to listen to him. After graduation he may enter the Army. Richard Lee Harris Live and take comfort. Junior-Senior Reception 3, Relay 3, 4. Dick is tall and slim, with light wavy hair. He is a smart dresser; he always wears pegged trousers,- gay socks, and loafers. His favorite pastime is dancing in which he excels. He works in Emily's Clothing Store after school. Some day, he may be manager of the company. Robert Marshall Heath He is of a quiet nature. Football 2, 3. Bob is a truck driver for the Post Office. He likes most sports, but he likes football best. He p'ayed for the high school in his sophomore and junior years, but in his senior year he sustained a knee injury and was unable to play. Norman Wilfred Hertel Silence is most noble. Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4. Norman is a quiet boy who likes all sports. He left school in the middle of his senior year to devote all his time to farming. Owen John Hobbs Men of few words are the best men. Orchestra 4. Owen, who comes from West Fitchburg, takes the vocational course. His main interests are dancing, swim- ming, and roller skating. He plans to join the Army. Norman Joseph Isabelle There is mischief in this man. A boy from Cleghorn who likes to go hunting. He likes to dance to the music of Jimmy Dorsey. He also does plenty of ice-skating and traveling. After gradua- tion he may enlist in the Navy. George Bernard Kane Mischief never thrives without wit. George is a short and very active lad who comes from the South Side. He is interested in all sports and spends much of his spare time hunting and fishing. He works at Kresge's after school. He plans to go to an engineer- ing school. Robert Henry Kendall Silence best speaks the mind. Football 2, 3, 4, Relay 3. Bob is a great lover of football and played on the F. H. S. squad. Another sport he likes is skiing, and he is a member of the Fitchburg Ski Club. He also likes to hunt and Saturdays you can generally see him heading up Electric Avenue with his gun over his shoulder. PACK 17

CLASS OF '46 Lendell Morrell Lockhart There is mischief in this man. ■Dramatic Club 2, 3, Relay 3. Mike likes cars and so, naturally, he likes to drive. He also likes to ski and fount and to have fun. He has no plans for the future, but has an ambition to be a bus driver. Robert Alfred Luonia The world knows little of its greatest men. Band, Orchestra, 1 , 2, 3, 4, Dramatic Club, Class Motto Committee, 3, Round Table 4. Bob is one of our fine musicians. How the band will miss Bob and his horn. He is noted for his ability in the classroom especially in math and chemistry. Rumors say that he is quite a fine Sunday School teacher. James Joseph Marotta A safe companion and an easy friend. Rated as one of the smaller members of our class, Jimmie spends most of his afternoons working at W. T. Grant and Co. Jim is another sports follower; be is always well informed as to football and basketball scores. His other main interests are bowling and swimming. Jim has made no future plans as yet. Donald Clark Marsh 1 had rather have a fool to make me merry, Than experience to make me sad. Donald's trademark is his joking voice heard all over the school. He is always in a gay mood and he keeps all his friends laughing. His hobbies include the movies and 6ports. He plans to attend Massachusetts State Col- lege. Frank Martines The stars shine, so does an athlete. Football, Baseball, Basketball, Dramatic Club. Marty, was not only a co-captain of the Red Raiders last season, but he was also a triple threat in the back- held. He doesn't take school too seriously but he gets along. As you can see, he likes football, but his future 6tatus is unknown. Nicholas Joseph Martines A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance. Band, 3, 4, Dramatic Club 4. Nicky is a big carefree fellow who always has some- thing to say, usually something funny. He plays a pretty good trumpet. His only hobby is having a good time. He has no definite plans for the future. Paul Edward McNally Seniors! Seniors! Rah-rah-rah! Debating 2, 3, Cheerle ader, Senior Class Play 4. Paul was one of the senior cheerleaders and did a bang up job. He wasn't a player but he certainly backed up the fellows on the team with .that — what da ya say. Let's have some more noise — let's go, hip hip. Paul is also one of the youngest junior radio announcers in the country. He keeps the boys at second lunch amused with those jokes of his. Paul Patrick Meehan The good man alone is free. Paul's favorite sports are bowling and skiing. He also likes dancing. As his favorite subject Paul chooses printing.
