CLASS OF '46 Harry Roger Crawford Obey and be attentive. Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4. Harry is a tall blond senior, who always hats a smik. He didn't take part in any school sports but he always attended the games. Harry especially likes to ski at which he is very adept. Austin Gene Crossman A gentleman of honest deeds. Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4, Junior-Senior Reception 3, Re- lay 3, 4. A lover of all sports, his hobby is photography. Me- chanically minded, he likes to drive his father's car. Upon graduation he plans to become an engineer. John DiTommaso, Jr. I could sit on, untroubled day by day. Dramatic Club. johnny is an avid aviation fan. Besides being a mem- ber of the Air Scouts, and of the C. A. P. he works at the Fitchburg airport. When you can drag him away from his flying, you will find that he is also a good foot- ball and baseball player. Richard Wallace Doughty Shall I go on or have I said enough? Band, Orchestra 2, 3, 4, Debating, Junior-Senior Re- ception Committee 3, Dramatic Club 4. Dick, a good-looking blond, presents a well-groomed appearance. He is an active member of both the band and the debating club. Bowling, basketball, and ping- pcng are his favorite 6ports. Dick plans to go to Amherst College where he will major in the sciences. Winfred Charles Durling He is always light of heart. Bud is a tall dark lad who comes from the South Side. He is cheerful, friendly, and not too fond of study. He is a smooth dancer and very much interested in sports, such as football, basketball, baseball, and hunting. Arthur Nicholas Eleftherio Honest endeavor is sure reward. Dramatic Club, Junior-Senior Reception, Class Color Committee 3. Dickie with his blond hair likes to study, but dcesn't let homework interfere with da ncing and basketball. He plans to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Optometry. Robert John Fallon A companion that is cheerful is worth gold. Baseball, Dramatic Club, Junior-Senior Reception 3. Bob came to F. H. S. in the junior year from the big town of Lunenburg. He likes baseball and basketball. Bob is the assistant to one of the local veterinaries in town. Who knows but what he might be a veterinary himself some day. John Frederick Fielding Old friends are the best. Dramatic Club 2, 4. Jackie is a curly-haired boy who has had such a run of hard luck that th e crutch seems almost to be his constant companion. Much of his time is spent with airplanes. Tackie's one plan after graduation is to en- list in the Navy. PACK 15

THE BOULDER Ernest Carbone Quiet persons are welcome everywhere. Dramatic Club, Class Color Committee 3. In school, Ernie is known by his nice smile and studious nature. However, his books are not the only thing for mischief is ever present in his eyes. He likes to draw, dance, swim, and play basketball, which he does after working at Foster Grant Co., Inc. He hopes to be a chemist. Eugene Shannan Casassa Always ready, always there, Always willing to do his share. Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4, Football 3, 4, Senior Class Play. Gene is an easy-going fellow who has been very active in school affairs. His dramatic ability has been demon- strated to us on many occasions. In football, he was an out-standing linesman, and made the first team of the A'l- Worcester County eleven. Herman Siegfried Cofman A man not of words but actions. Football, Baseball 3, 4. Chuck is one of those sports enthusiasts. If he is not playing baseball he is playing foolball or ping-pong. Oh, yes, he also enjoys dancinq quite a bit. His hope after high school is to enter the Marines. Edward Morton Cohen Not too serious, not too gay, A good fellow in every way. Football 2, 3, 4, Dramatic Club 3, Relay 3, 4. A handsome fellow who is a member of the football team, likes dancing and most sports. He worked during the summer as a councillor at a boys' camp. Eddie plans to go to a business school after graduation. He is get- ting some practice now as business manager of the Boulder. Richard Bishop Collins Jolly, well-liked, a good student, too. Football, Chairman Junior-Senior Reception Commit- tee, Junior-Senior Reception Play 3, Football Manager 4. Dick, who always has a smile and a pleasant word for everyone, has made a great many friends during his three years here. He was assistant footba'l manager and place-kick artist in his junior year. This year he was rewarded by being made manager. Winthrop Rowley Collins A good laugh is like sunshine. Junior-Senior Reception 3, Relay 3, 4. Bim is a quiet, well mannered senior who came to us fiom Pennsylvania in his junior year. Among his in- terests are horses and football and he is kept very bus playing basketball for the church league. Bim plans to return to Pennsylvania and after his eighteenth birthday he will enlist in the Army. Donald James Cosgrove Good nature is a special charm. Junior Prom Committee 3, Relay Team 3, 4, Football 4. Don was the fellow that caught the touchdown pass in that hard fought, brilliantly played Worcester Trade game. As you can see, Don is a sportsman. He was the captain of our '45 relay team; he also likes to hunt. The girls say he is a good dancer. Leonard George Cotnoir An industrious lad in every way. Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4, Junior-Senior Reception, Coun- cillor 3. Len is a popular fellow who is famous around school for his loud ties. He likes dancing and sports. He is business manager of the Boulder and works as a drafts- man after school. Len plans to go to college. PAGE 14

Gerard Paul Fluet A merry heart goes all the day. Relay 3, 4, Football. Gerry is a friendly fellow with a gift of gab. His brown hair and blue eyes make a good combination. Like most boys he likes ice cream, spcrts, and girls. He plans to attend Wentworth Institute. Benjamin Earl Foniaine, Jr. A generous action is its own reward. Relay 3, Glee Club 3, 4, Dramatic Club 4. Ben is a quiet unobtrusive senior who embodies a calm disposition coupled with a reserved dignity which makes him stand out on all occasions. He knows what he wants and will bend all his efforts until he attains his goal. Robert Arthur George Always light-hearted and content. Football 3, 4. Bob is a good-natured fellow, interested in most sports, especially football. He has been a member of the foot- ball team for three years. Skiing is another sport that Bob likes. He is also an excellent dancer. William John Godin Brevity is the soul of wit. Relay 3, Dramatic Club 4. Bill's hobbies are stamp collecting and building gas model planes. As is obvious he is very interested in aviation. Bill works afternoon at W. E. Aubuchon's warehouse and plans to join the Navy. William Frank Goguen Education makes the man. Councillor 2, 3, Red and Gray Business Manager 2, 3, 4, Relay, Junior Prom Committee 3. Bill is very much interested in a'rplan;s. Although he hasn't yet acquired his flying license, he hopes to in the near future. He has been one of the prominent members of our Red and Gray board for three years. Bill is also interested in sports, mainly s kiing. William Dillin Goodwin His words, like so many nimble airy servitors, trip about him at command. Councillor 2, 3, Dramatic Club, Boys' Debat.'ng Club 2, 3, 4, Red and Gray Board 3, 4, President, Dramatic Club 4. Bill is a tall dark-haired fellow with a great sense of humor. Being one of the active members of our class, he often runs about the corridors serving in one capacity or another. Since he is interested in business and finance, he plans to attend Boston University, College of Business. Sidney Warren Gordon Everything handsome about him. Dramatic Club 1, Glee Club 2. Sid is another gas station attendant who hails from Westminster. He always manages, however, to take time off when he wants to. On off days he likes to go swimming and hunting. Sid is not yet quite sure of what he will do after graduation. Robert William Gould My wealth is health and perfect ease. Dramatic Club 4. Bob has a sharp, old jalopy in which he rides around town. He likes most sports although he didn't go out for any in high school. Bob doesn't have any definite plans for the future. PAGE 16
