Herbert Joseph Bouvier Many a true word is spoken in jest. Dramatic Club 4. Herbert is probably not known as well around school as he is at the Fitchburg Theater where he is employed as an usher. He attends all sports and school functions. Roger Maurice Breton Quiet persons are welcome everywhere. Junior-Senior Reception 3, Debating Club 3, 4. Roger is popular and always willing to help. His standing in his studies is good for he takes a great deal of interest in his work. Roger is a quiet boy. He can generally be found playing ping-pong at the Y. He likes both basketball and softball. Robert Alfred Brodeur He is always laughing, for he has an infinite deal of wit. Dramatic Club 1, 2, 3, 4, Football 3, 4, Write-up Com- mittee 4, Senior Class Play. Bob is full of fun, and can appreciate a joke on him- self as well as anyone else. A very good student, he is well liked by all his teachers. Throughout our high school years we have all enjoyed the acquaintance of this care-free, happy-go-lucky young man. Gordon Thomas Brown An all-round athlete, straight and tall. Football 2, 3, 4, Junior-Senior Reception 3, Basket- ball, Baseball, Relay Team 3, 4, Dramatic Club 4. Gooma, who hails from the South side, is one of our foremost athletes. He played on the football, baske ba 1, and baseball teams and he was out-standing in all these sports. He is known for his easy-going manner and cheery smile. John Raymond Brown A little mischief now and then Is relished by the best of men. Councillor 4. Ray is a dark-haired good looking fellow who always has a cheery word for everyone. His main recreation is dancing, but when you can drag him away from the dance hall, he is an enthusiastic basketball and ping-pong player. He plans to enter engineering. Robert Edward Brown A better fellow nowhere could you find- Football 3, 4. Brownie is interested in all forms of athletics, particu- larly football. He has been out for this sport three years and is this year coming into the limelight as first string center. You might have seen his smiling face on the be'l boys' bench at the Hotel Raymond. He was one of the active members of Jive Junction. Louis Gene Buratti Ay, the ball is flying, the lads play heart and soul. Basketball 2, 3, 4, Relay 3, 4, Baseball 4. Louis is one of our merry lads, always cheerful, always glad. He is really showing his ability in school this year. He is a member of the basketball team and played well this year at guard for the team. Stuart Clifford Butterfield Speech is good but silence is golden. Band 2, 3, 4. Stuart is Westminster's star trumpet player as well as gas station attendant. His cute smile and wavy hair are his greatest assets. All his friends will tell you that he is loads of fun. Dancing, bowling, and hunting are his favorite pastimes. Stuart has no definite future plans. PAGE 13

THE BOULDER Raymond Charles Adams A modest man am I. A handsome lad with curly blond hair. A member of the West Fitchburg clan, he works in a grocery store there. His main hobby is raising a mustache (which is coming along nicely). Ray is going to join the Merchant Marine after graduation. Philip Domenic Aiesi Enjoy life while you may. Band, Orchestra 3, 4. Phil is a rather short senior with wavy brown hair, and a winning smile. His hobby is playing his sax and we hear that he is really going places. Phil loves dancing and attends most of the school affairs. He plans to be- come a bandleader in the future. Raymond Joseph Andrews A noble mind with, a noble heart. Councillor 2, Dramatic Club 4. Ray is a big husky fellow with black hair, brown eyes, and a ready smile. His distinguishing characteristics are his popularity, and his deep voice. He likes hunting and used to make a good profit selling pells. He also likes dancina. Charles Leroy Atwood As merry as the day is long. Councillor 2, Junior-Senior Reception, Junior Dance Committee 3. Charlie belongs to the small minority who take things as they come with a smile, and never worry about what is going to happen next. Charlie added smiles to Mr. Dooling's classes with his actions last year. He is tops as a piano player and hopes to follow it up as a career. Ciro Barone Laugh and the world laughs with you. Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4, Glee Club. A big wide grin, a hearty handshake, and a chuckle. His hobby is having a good time. He works in his father's drug store. Ciro wants to graduate before he makes any pJans, but it has been said that he will go to a school of pharmacy. Spiros Biliouris Our youth we can have but today. Glee Club 3, 4, Basketball 4. Spike is said to be about the best soda jerk in town. Besides being an active basketball player he finds time to support all school and social functions. After high school he plans to open a chain of restaurants. Chester Arthur Blanchette To be strong is to be happy. Relay 4. Chet has brown curly hair and brown eyes. He takes part in all sports, excelling in boxing. Besides his outdoor activities, Chet enjoys all other social life, especially dancing. His outside work has prevented him from enter- ing many school sports. As yet he has not decided on his future work. Donald Alfred Bouvier Deeds not words. Dramatic Club 3, 4. Don is a typical high school boy. He is smart, has lots of friends, and likes to have fun in school or out. He works in a grocery store after school. His biggest ambi- tion is to be manager of a big store. PAGE 12

THE BOULDER Ernest Carbone Quiet persons are welcome everywhere. Dramatic Club, Class Color Committee 3. In school, Ernie is known by his nice smile and studious nature. However, his books are not the only thing for mischief is ever present in his eyes. He likes to draw, dance, swim, and play basketball, which he does after working at Foster Grant Co., Inc. He hopes to be a chemist. Eugene Shannan Casassa Always ready, always there, Always willing to do his share. Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4, Football 3, 4, Senior Class Play. Gene is an easy-going fellow who has been very active in school affairs. His dramatic ability has been demon- strated to us on many occasions. In football, he was an out-standing linesman, and made the first team of the A'l- Worcester County eleven. Herman Siegfried Cofman A man not of words but actions. Football, Baseball 3, 4. Chuck is one of those sports enthusiasts. If he is not playing baseball he is playing foolball or ping-pong. Oh, yes, he also enjoys dancinq quite a bit. His hope after high school is to enter the Marines. Edward Morton Cohen Not too serious, not too gay, A good fellow in every way. Football 2, 3, 4, Dramatic Club 3, Relay 3, 4. A handsome fellow who is a member of the football team, likes dancing and most sports. He worked during the summer as a councillor at a boys' camp. Eddie plans to go to a business school after graduation. He is get- ting some practice now as business manager of the Boulder. Richard Bishop Collins Jolly, well-liked, a good student, too. Football, Chairman Junior-Senior Reception Commit- tee, Junior-Senior Reception Play 3, Football Manager 4. Dick, who always has a smile and a pleasant word for everyone, has made a great many friends during his three years here. He was assistant footba'l manager and place-kick artist in his junior year. This year he was rewarded by being made manager. Winthrop Rowley Collins A good laugh is like sunshine. Junior-Senior Reception 3, Relay 3, 4. Bim is a quiet, well mannered senior who came to us fiom Pennsylvania in his junior year. Among his in- terests are horses and football and he is kept very bus playing basketball for the church league. Bim plans to return to Pennsylvania and after his eighteenth birthday he will enlist in the Army. Donald James Cosgrove Good nature is a special charm. Junior Prom Committee 3, Relay Team 3, 4, Football 4. Don was the fellow that caught the touchdown pass in that hard fought, brilliantly played Worcester Trade game. As you can see, Don is a sportsman. He was the captain of our '45 relay team; he also likes to hunt. The girls say he is a good dancer. Leonard George Cotnoir An industrious lad in every way. Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4, Junior-Senior Reception, Coun- cillor 3. Len is a popular fellow who is famous around school for his loud ties. He likes dancing and sports. He is business manager of the Boulder and works as a drafts- man after school. Len plans to go to college. PAGE 14
