Roundfaced . . eyes that twinkle ..laughs easily .. plays what he calls basketball . . a good gloom chaser, .hopes to join the Navy. Paul Winston Dunn A quiet manner hid the mischief in his eye. Winnie, .drum major, .at his best when conversations turn to sports . .always joking, .plays the drums . .likes all popular music, .at home in a sweater, .weak point, coke and devil dogs, .plans to join the Navy. Leo William Durkin Employ thy time well if thou meanst to gain leisure. Junior-Senior Reception 3, Relay Team, Dramatic Club 3, 4. Has eyes that talk and likes to use them to emphasize his speech. . loves to amuse everyone with witty remarks, .is rumored to be a smooth dancing partner, .has an especially soft, low, soothing voice.. has all the natural gifts for making the salesman he hopes to be. Robert Joseph Durkin Mischief, thou art afoot. Dramatic Club 3, 4, Football 3, 4, Councillor 4. Bob. .very shy around the girls, but quite a character with the gang, .we'd be lost without his constant joking.. a shining light in baseball.. so dangerous at bowling that he has to set up his own pins. . good crooner when by himself. . wants to be a Marine. Eustace Gunnar Erickson Be just and fear not. Band 2, 3, 4, Orchestra, Basket- ball 4. Bud. .tall, blond, silent type, .de- pendable, friendly chap.. good pal . .likes all sports, including dancing . .wants to be a coach. John Edward Erickson A little nonsense noiv and then Is relished by the best of men. Band 2, 3, 4, Orchestra, Glee Club 3. An easy going, good natured senior, .mischievous sense of humor . .his bass horn is a valuable asset in the band, .plans to join the Air Corps. Richard Erickson Nothing is impossible to industry. foolball 2. Dick, .one of our favorite seniors . .lightened our path to learning by his ever-pleasant grin, .live wire of his classes, .or to put it mildly, a genial classmate .. hopes he will keep his sense of humor throughout his stay in the Navy. Lawrence Henry Dauphinais Practice is the bed of all instructors. Dramatic Club 3, Relay Race 3, 4, Intra-mural Baseball 3, Senior Reception Committee 4. Better known as Duffy., kepi busy with his work at I. L. Co. . . good humor is a habit with him. . never accuse him of causing mucn of the noise . . call him shy and retiring. John Joseph Degen Full vf pep, easy to please. Band 2, 3, Dramatic Club 4. Full of pep and vim at all times . .very friendly, .sincere, .depend- able, .sometimes called Frankie. . takes- part in all sports, especially skiing, .loves to dance, .his hobby, flying .. plans to attend a business school after graduation.
