19 4 3 BOULDER Honor Frances Godley Enough of humor does she find. If Honor isn't swimming, she is sleeping. Of course she takes time out to eat. Her dark wavy hair and her large brown eyes are her prime assets. Honor is planning to be a typical college girl. Junior-Senior Reception Basketball 2, 3, 4 Volleyball 2, 3, 4 Dramatic Club 4 Muriel Diane Goldman A merry heart goes all the day. Muriel has lovely dark eyes and hair and always has a cheery smile. She enjoys swimming, danc- ing, and bowling. Muriel is unde- cided whether to become a nurse or a stenographer. Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4 Debating Club 3, 4 Norma Ruth Goodwin And still be doing never done. Nimmie is one of those rare combinations of Special Honor brains, peppy personality, and an honest-to-goodness sense of humor. Reading, tennis, swimming, and basketball round out her activities. Another Gold F student, Nimmie will add much to any college. Field Hockey 2 Basketball 2, 3, 4 Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4 Councillor 3 Junior Prom 3 Red and Gray 3, 4 Ann Charlotte Goranson One way to have a friend is to be one. Ann is tall, blue-eyed, and has brown hair. She spends her spare time playing basketball, skating, and enjoying Ladies Day at the Y. She plans to go to Becker College after graduation. Basketball 2, 3. 4 Field Hockey 2, 3 Junior-Senior Reception Councillor 4 Open Meeting 4 Barbara Helen Grant Ever loyal and true to the task she has to do. Happy-go-lucky Barb comes from Westminster. Although not very active in school affairs, she is kept busy outside dancing, at- tending football games and mo- vies. Her favorite sport is mountain climbing. She also is interested in photography. Jennie Julia Haanpaa A face o'er spread with happiness. Jennie is a pleasant, well-liked blond. Her favorite forms of recre- ation are reading, bowling, and dancing. She goes to all the school dances and to the Reipas Club. Jennie has a scrapbook containing pictures of different events around the school. She wants to join the WAVEs after she graduates. Gloria Ellen Hakola She has a natural wise sincerity. Gloria has beautiful blond hair and sparkling eyes. She spends her leisure time bowling, roller skating, and reading the latest books. Her hobby is collecting photographs and snapshots of all her friends. Field Hockey 2 Volleyball 2, 3 Dramatic Club 4 Lois Evelyn Hall Deep thoughts are good but have some fancies too. Lois is well-known for her splendid art work. She won honor- able mention for her poster for Fire Prevention Week. Her hobby is drawing cartoons. After gradua- tion, Lois hopes to attend art school. BOULDER 19 4 3 Richard Albert Liversage shall laugh myself to death. Dick's friendly grin and quick wisecracks are well known. His favorite pastime is getting to fires before the Central Fire Station en- gines. His hobby is doing car- pentry work. He plans to join the Army. Nicholas Joseph Macchio Deeds, not words. Nick, one of our happy-go-lucky students, did exceedingly well in pepping up our football team. He likes to read, although he is not a bookworm. He elected the ma- chinist course this year and plans to enter that field. Football 3, 4 Ray George MacCracken For courage mounteth with occasion. Ray worked in the cafeteria dur- ing the past year. He likes to go horseback riding. Ray has been working in one of the machine shops in Fitchburg and is pre- paring for a mechanical world. Thomas Salvatore Marabello When the disposition charms, the features are pleasing. Tom is a dark, black-haired lad with a certain enjoyment in being mischievous. His principal recrea- tions are reading, swimm'ng, skiing, and hiking. Having skilled hands, he hopes to be a machinist. He was manager of the F.H.S. football squad. Football 4 Napoleon Edmund Mathieu am part of all that I have met. Nappy is an all around athlete and an expert in roller skating, gym, swimming, and ice skating. He likes to build model airplanes and plans to fly the real thing for the army. Dramatic Club 4 Stanley Lucius Michelson A handsome face is a silent recommendation. Stanley is a good runner and was a member of the track team. Stanley likes to box, play pool, and write letters. He is interested in becoming an aviator or tech- nician in some branch of aviation. Track 3, Relay 3, 4 Dramatic Club 4 Eugene Leon Morand Without sweat and toil no work is made perfect. Eugene is of medium height with dark hair and eyes. His principal recreations are hunting, bowling, making airplane models, wood- work, photography, and fishing. His hobbies are collecting old coins and making clock frames from cracked airplane propellers. He in- tends to join the Army Air Force. Roger Gedeon Morin Glory follows virtue, as though it were its shadow. Roger already walks like a soldier, a posture he acquired in the drill team of St. Joseph's Ca- dets. He also played with the Rover Tiger baseball team which was the champion of the Inter- mediate Baseball League. Baseball 4 PAGE 26

BOULDER 19 4 3 Avidis Michael Motion Nothing is impossible to a willing heart. Avidis is a rather quiet person. He seems shy so far as the girls are concerned. He is an excellent ath- lete particularly in baseball, and swimming. He intends to become a flying cadet in the Army Air Force. Edward Arthur Munro He's a wise man that can take care of himself. Eddie is a tall good looking lad with a slight curl in his brown hair. At one time he studied singing but now he is chiefly interested in drums and drumming. He collects articles on the subject and aspires to drum in a name band. Football 2 Band 2, 3, 4 Orchestra 3, 4 Carlton James Murray He ivhose goodness is a part of himself is a real man. During his senior year, Carlton worked as an usher at a downtown thea'er. Carlton was an active member of the band. He is an all- around .sportsman. Carlton hopes to work as a machinist. Football 2; Band 4 Ashley AUred Myers 1 he brave man thinks of himself last of all. Ashley is a tall, well-built lad, with a slightly humorous southern accent. Hailing from Florida, he is attending F.H.S. for his second year. His hobby is collecting old coins. He intends to become a Naval Cadet. Football 3, 4 Peter Eugene Nikula As the man is, so is his strength. Pete is tall, blond, and has light blue eyes. In his senior year he was a promising football player, but an injury kept him off the team. S.udying never held any special attraction for Peter. Football 2 Robert Ogilvie Good nature and good sense are tisually companions. Bob is a small, quiet, good na- tured fellow. He does a lot of hunt- ing and fishing. Bob liked to read good books as a form of recrea- tion. He is interested in radio work and would like to be a radio oper- ator after graduation. Band 4 Arvid Arnold Olson The face is the index of the mind. Arvid, a quiet senior, is a tall student with blond curly hair. He likes to go hunting. For a hobby he collects old automobiles and re- builds them. Arvid has taken the machinist course. He intends to enter the Navy Air Corps. Edwin Nathan Ordway Let the sounds of music creep in our ears. Bud is a quiet, lanky boy yet loads of fun when you get to know him.
