She says she is going to a business college and later become a retired businesswoman. French Club 1 Deck Tennis 2 Basketball. Dramatic Club 2, 3 ,4 Field Hockey 3, 4 Loretta Mary Deloge Enthusiasm is the light of my soul. Loretta is a friendly girl with lovely brown hair. Outside of school she goes bowling or roller skating. Her hobby is stamp col- lecting. Loretta says that she may become either a nurse, typist, or hairdresser. Jennie Demchuk Her smile is like a rainbow. Jennie came to Fitchburg from Chicago at the beginning of her high school career. She enjoys hunting, fishing, and in her quieter moments, collecting articles in con- nection with the navy. She is plan- ning to be a secretary. Dramatic Club 4 Charlotte Janet Donovan Learn the luxury of doing good.. Janet or Charlie is tall and slim with shining brown hair and twink- ling blue eyes. Her seeming calm- ness of manner isn t able to hide her snappy Irish wit. She plans to go to the University of New Hampshire. Stacia is a vivacious girl with dark hair. She enjoys dancing and reading. Stacia hopes to take up secretarial work in the future. Basketball, Volleyball Hockey 2 Dramatic Club 2, 4 Jane Doulopoulos Nothing is troublesome that we do willingly. Jane is a happy-go-lucky part- timer with sparkling eyes and a merry smile. An ardent bowling fan, she spends her free time knocking down spares and strikes. Jane plans to be a stenographer. Hockey, Volleyball 2 Basketball 2, 3 Dramatic Club 3, 4 Junior Prom Committee Beverly June Dunn Her smiling eyes with simple trust were stored. Bev is a tall blond with a very quiet way about her. When not skating she spends her leisure time reading. She collects British pic- tures for a hebby. She hopes to become a beautician. Rosemary Angela Durkin Thou art small, but thou shall grow. Rosemary jo'ned F.H.S. her senior year, coming from St. Ber- nards. She has a mischievous man- ner and cheery laugh. She plans to attend a secretarial school af.er graduation. BOULDER 19 4 3 Alexander Morton Ferris He that is friend to himself, is friend to all. Al is a good piano player and has played in the school orchestra and many independent orchestras. Al impersonated Eugene Lak:o at the Junior-Sen:or Reception. Hs ambition is to be a piano player in a famous orchestra. Norman Paul Forest He only is a well made man who has a good determination. Norman is a quiet boy who likes to go hunting and fishing. He plans to put this aside for the time being and give Uncle Sam a lift. Football 2 Robert Nicholas Francavilla A laugh is worth a hundred groans in any market. Bob is a lanky good-looking young fellow. He is one of our best dancers and also plays a good game of basketball for an ou'side team. Bob plans to enter the U. S. Marine Corps. Robert Francis Fournier Where the stream run'; smoothest, The water is deepest. A future doer of deeds of derring do whose exploits can hardly sur- pass those of his high school career. He enjoys skiing and skating. He plans to join the Army Air Corps. Dramatic Club 3, 4 John Gilman Fuller Not too serious, not too gay, a good fellow in every way. Jackie will always be remem- bered as the best soda-jerker in town. He loves hunting and plans to pursue a similar course in the United States Army. Roland Ingalls Gay Whatever it resolves on, the human mind can effect. Aviation has at least one ardent disciple in Roland. In addition to constructing model airplanes, he has taken the aviation course and intends to make aviation his future work. He likes to read, hunt, bowl, play football and baseball. James Gelep Life is a jest, and all things show it. I thought so once, but now I know it. Jimmy has a keen sense of humor and a happy-go-lucky manner. H;s blue eyes and brown hair make him one of the good looking boys of the class. He left us early this year to enter the Navy. Basketball 2, 4 Edwin Kay Gerhart Genius only leaves behind it the monuments of its strength. Ed Mme to F.H.S. in our senior year. He was a good student espe- cially in science. B O ULDER 19 4 3 Robert William Goss The blond will charm me, the brunette ivill charm me, too. Bobs blond hair, lively blue eyes, and noisy manner are well known in school, particularly in the cafeteria where he works. Out of school he enjoys fishing, skiing, and hunting. A career in one of the armed forces is his intention now. Dramatic Club 3, 4 Frederick Porter Greene Be bold, be bold, and everywhere be bold. Fred is one of our smaller boys who lately has sprung up to nor- mal height. He has I ght curly hair that is seldom combed. Fred is preparing to be an engineer. Raymond Joseph Hachey Serene, determined, kind, and true. In Ray we have one not too som- ber, not too buoyant. Ray enjoys reading; is a hunter of merit; and is a good camper. His principal plan for the future is joining the Army Air Corps. Harry Ernest Haueisen Slow and sure was his manner. Harry is a tall, quiet, blond boy. His principal forms of recreation are swimm ng and skating. He is interested in aviation and builds model airplanes as a hobby. Harry intends to enlist in the Army Air Corps. Track 3 Robert Durling Hedstrom Gold is met with by luck; a good disposition is found by nature. Bob is seemingly a rather quiet individual who divides his time between hunting, the Hi-Y, and studies. He would like to join the Army Air Corps. Relay 3, 4 Glee Club 3, 4 Phillips Andrews Hills, Jr. The glory of a firm, capacious mind. Phillips has blond wavy hair and a big smile. He drives to school in a blue streamlined car. He comes from We6tminster, but manages to go roller skating in Whalom, very often. Phillips plans to become a traveling auditor. Red and Gray 3, 4 John Walter Holland, Jr. This fellow's wise enough to play the fool. Jack must have been a descend- ant of Archimedes, as his knowl- edge is amazing. He is an accom- plished horseman. When summer rolls around Jack is kept pretty busy with his sailboat. Tennis 2, 4 Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4 Councillor William Patrick Hurley Wit and wisdom, are born with a man. A good looking gentleman hail- ing from the heights of West Fitchburg. Bill's favorite pastimes are hunting and roller skating. He is also a collector of guns. His am- bition is to become a gob in the U. S. Navy. Councillor 2 PAGE 22
