1942 Henry Joseph LeBlanc stately and tall he moves in the hall. Henry is a member of many bands; the School Band, the American Legion, and a Finnish band. He is looking forward to civil service v ork after school. He once received honors in the Guy de Fontgallant Drum Corps. Orchestra, Band. Norman Clarence Leger He drives the cares away. Norman is reserved and quiet, but he certainly knows how to lead a band. Norman has received a medal for his outstanding leadership of the Guy de Fontgallant Drum Corps. Track, Relay, Band. James Peter Lekas His sonc was only living aloud, his work asinging with his hand. Jimmy has a large place in his heart for sports, especially football and track. When the basketball season rolls around he's in there fighting. He is planning to go to Worcester Trade and take the machinist's course. Carmello Lemmo Character makes its own destiny. Mello's size is very deceiving. His small stature by no means reveals his strength and spirit. He plays football and also enjoys baseball. He is going to be a machinist after his high school days are over. Allan Reino Leppaniemi By name and nature he can win. Lep enjoys anything connected with the outdoors. He hunts, fishes, plays baseball, and is especially good at basketball. In his spare time Lep works in a drug store and after graduation intends to become a pharmacist. Basketball, Track. Theresa Marie Joyce Those who know her, not a few Know her for a friend tried and true. Theresa radiates a lovely smile and vivacity. Collecting snapshots is her hobby; she is also very fond of dancing. She is undecided which career she would rather follow, nursing or hairdressing. Alice Norma Kaulback That smirk of mirth and gladness And that flash of mischief too, Alice is noted for her beautiful golden-red hair, her charming smile, and her sparkling, sunny disposition. She is always active, and bub- bling with energy, sometimes sitting still long enough to do a little knitting. She is greatly interested in sports. She hopes to study either embalming or nursing. Basketball, Basketball referee. Dramatic Club. Thelma Rachel Koski A thing of beauty is a joy forever. Thelma's lovely blond hair is the envy of her many friends. She is a very industrious young lady which will help in her ambition, nursing. Thelma is interested in science and won the Hartwell Biology Prize her sophomore year. Basketball, Dramatic Club, Write-up Committee, Thanksgiving Dance Committee. Elli Laakko Efficiency is correctness itself. Elli is a part-timer who works for Miss Dunn. Outside and inside school, she likes reading. She has always been on the honor roll. She wants a good office position. Basketball. Rita Gertrude Lafrenier Her smiling eyes witli simple truth were stored. Rita is an energetic girl who likes plenty of exercise, excitement, and action. 1942 Eugene Edwin Lakso ' Tis itispiration expounds experience. Eugene is a fine piano player, who can make the piano do every- thing but talk. During the summer months there's nothing that he enjoys more than a good swim. He plans to continue with his music. Glee Club, Junior-Senior Reception, Orchestra, Band. Edmond Gerard Lambert Born with a gift of laughter. Ed is one of the shorter members of our class. He comes from Cleghorn. He collects stamps, likes to bowl, and to play tennis. After h;gh school, Ed expects to go to Northeastern University to take a course in salesmanship. Tennis. Glee Club, French Club, Orchestra. Albert Joseph Lanzilotti He can nei er be good tliat in not obstinate. Albert is a live wire on all occasions. He was manager of the foot- ball team. The scores of this year's games show that he did plenty to urge on the boys. He enjoys ice skating as well as football. After high school, he wishes to be a printer or mechanic. Football Manager. Eorle Gordon LaRoe Virtue never grows old. Earle is a studious boy, but he a lso has many other interests. He builds model airplanes, likes to bowl, and is a member of the Hi-Y Club. After completing school, Earle plans to go to the U. S. Air College, and then enter the U. S. Army Air Corps. Dramatic Club, Junior-Senior Reception, Junior Prom, Drama Festival, Editor The Boulder. Allen Lewis Leavenworth strength of limb and policy of mind. Ally's name has appeared many times on the sport page during his high school days. Of all the sports in which he takes part, hockey ap- peals to him the most. In his freshman year, he received a silver basketball. Football, Basketball, Junior Relay. Bertha Louise Jena Kind and quiet, aluun s neat, Slie'll find friends in all she meets. Bertha is the blond lass who serves as a part-timer in the school office. She is an excellent skater, having won a pair of silver skates last year. She does not want to make 'skating her profession, but she would rather have an office position. Hockey, Basketball, 'Volleyball, Dramatic Club, Glee Club, Junior-Senior Reception. Agnes Odilia Johnson Sober, stedfast, and demure. Aggie is one of our part-timers. She has light brown hair and brown eyes. Her hobby is making scrapbooks. After graduation Agnes wants to be a stenographer. Edith Claire Johnson Edith has long luxuriant black hair, dark eyes, freckles, and comes from 'Westminster. She is quite an outdoor girl and enjoys all sports. Edith plans to take up religious work at some college and then after- wards become a Director of Religious Education. Basketball, 'Volley- ball, Glee Club, Dramatic Club. Elizabeth Katherine Joseph Round her eyes, her tresses fell, M'hich were the blackest none could tell. Elizabeth is a small black-haired girl with a sunny disposition. Her chief outside interest is collecting snapshots. After graduation she hopes to embark on a secretarial career. Helen Ann Jotko studious to please, yet not ashamed to fail. Helen is the blue-eyed damsel with the cute pug nose. An ac- quaintance with Helen is all that is necessary to appreciate her splendid spirit of cooperation and friendliness.

1942 Warren Litsky There's many a true word spoken in jest. Warren's scholastic ability is well known, for rare is the occasion when his name is not listed high on the honor roll. His quick wit and bright humor are great attributes, and he is always ready to debate or argue on any subject. He plans to study medical research at Duke University. Ass t. Business Manager of Baseball, Dramatic Club, Joke Committee of The Boulder, Senior Class Prophecy. Rodney Marcellus Liversage Humble because of knowledge. Rodney is a dignified lad who stands high in his studies. He has an unusual hobby, the study of the weather. His future business doesn't lie in that direction, however, for he d rather be a funeral director. Dramatic Club, Red and Gray Board. Gordon Bates Loiquist His ionty loud lauyh sincere. Gordon is extremely fond of automobiles, especially his own which has become so nearly a part of him. After graduation Gordon plans to continue his education at Michigan State. Walter Fred Lovell A plain and honest man. Tall, slim Walt is President of the Cappers Club, a Cub leader, Treasurer of the Epworth League in the Methodist Church, and be- longs to many Scout organizations. He plays the trumpet in the band and is noted for his fine pastime. Walt plans to be a businessman. Band. Robert Sewell Luikin Everything handsome about him. Robert was a member of our famed football squad. He likes hunting, golf, ping pong, and belongs to a bowling team. He works at the Rose Garden, his father's restaurant at Whalom. He plans to go to business school. Football. Gertrude Miriam Lamminen The joy of yuuth and health her eyes displayed. Gertie is a tiny bit on the quiet side. With her blue eyes and blond hair, Gertie should be a model secretary in the future. Volleyball, Basketball, Dramatic Club, Glee Club. Cecile Mary Lamothe Her mild expression spoke a mind In duty firm, composed, resigned. Cecile likes to roller skate and go on hikes. She has collected many souvenirs. Cecile's mind is not made up as to her future. Basketball, Volleyball, Dramatic Club. Lyyli Esther Elvira Lamsa Tall and slender grace has she, Alicays friendly as can be. Lil is a tall serene girl with numerous interests. She is an active Girl Scout and works in a small variety store. Her first love is art, so in preparation for a career she plans to attend the Massachusetts School of Art to study designing and interior decoration. Dramatic Club. Evelyn Frances Lanoue Never over serious, not too frivolous But a rare good pal. Evelyn plays a wonderful game of ping pong, likes outside sports of all kinds and dancing, too. She would like to take a course at Worces- ter Trade School and become a hotel hostess. Volleyball, Basketball, Table Tennis, Glee Club. Rose Mary Lauricella To he merry best becomes you. Rose is a quiet person. She is a very good student and would like to become a secretary. She spends much of her spare time keeping up v.'irh current events.
