1942 Norman Paul Demers Nothing is impossible to a willing heart. Norman came to us this year from Rindge Technical High School in Cambridge. He was active in athletics there, and played hockey and tennis. After graduation, he plans to enter an engineering school. Oscar Marcus Derderian Intermingled mirth and earnestness. Oscar is one of our most intelligent boys. He is an honor student and also a part-timer and works for the School Department. The field of sports interests him; he likes very much to ski, skate, play baseball, football, and basketball. After graduation, he would like to be a book- keeper or accountant. Edward Paul Dolan Knowledge is the action of the soul. Eddie, quiet and always neatly dressed, has the ability to make many friends. He has a cheerful grin, a deep, pleasant voice, and a versa- tility of interests. He is adept at pitching horseshoes. He works after- noons in an office and will enter the business world after graduation. Dramatic Club, Junior Prom Committee. Richard Naismith Donovan Obey and be attentive. Richard is a builder of model airplanes. He tells us he was also quite an athlete in grammar school. He plans to join the Navy after high school. Bowling Team, Dramatic Club. Albert Duquette Let him live to be a hundred. Al is another sport follower; he is always well informed as to base- ball, fooCball, or basketball scores. His other main interests are bowling and dancing. Al would like to get a civil service job after graduating. French Club, Glee Club. Patricia June Dellagono Slow and deliberate was her manner. Patricia is a seemingly serious person but there is never a dull moment when she is around. She is interested in dramatics and is a faithful member of a church group of young actresses. Pat would like to become an air hostess. Hockey, Basketball, Glee Club. Alberta Ann DeLorme A kindly heart, a loving word A little humor now and then. Alberta's hobby often takes her to the movies. She enjoys watching the movies for the mistakes in them. Alberta hopes to take a civil service test after graduation and to do secretarial work in Washington. Pauline Claire DeLorme Ahvays nice and always gay Always smiliyig through the day. Pauline is a dancing-eyed brunette from down South Fitchburg way. She frequents the Whalom Roller Skating Rink. Although Polly en- joys a good time, she has her serious moments also. Pauline wishes to become a typist after graduation. French Club. Shirley Virginia Denno Good temper is like a sunny day. This blue-eyed lass hails from West Fitchburg. Her time is pretty well occupied either in reading, collecting poems, or taking an active part in church affairs. She sings in the choir, teaches Sunday school, and is President of the L. C. Girls. Volleyball, Basketball, Dramatic Club, Write-up Committee of the Bo ulder. June Marie Deschenes No beauty, like the beauty of the mind. June is a studious and very quiet girl, but with a friendly smile for all. Her main interest is dancing. She works as secretary to Mr. Levi Lashua and hopes to continue with secretarial or bookkeeping work. Dramatic Club.

BOULDER Page 16 1942 John Norman Cunningham Be merry if you are wise. Johnnie is a very good-natured fellow, with a friendly way with everybody. He is definitely sportsminded, as he plays football, basket- ball, and hockey. His ambition is to become a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Arthur Robert Gushing Oh who can forget the mild light of his smile. Arthur was our able and enthusiastic cheerleader. He is interested in Denishawn dancing. He belongs to the Roilstone Young Men's Club and the Christian Endeavor. He wants to be a Denishawn dancer and a war correspondent. Glee Club, Dramatic Club, Band, Senior Cheer Leader, Open Meeting. Thomas Angslo Dateo There is a laughing devil in his sneer. Cheerful, gay, and loud describe Tommy. He plays football, base- ball, and basketball for the Sons of Italy. After school hours, he flashes a flashlight in one of Fitchburg's well known theaters. Foot- ball, Track, Touch Football. Robert Joseph Dauphinais Real loyalty is hard to find. Dauph is just a little less than pleasingly plump but he uses it to a good advantage on the gridiron, ironing out some of those opposing guards and tackles. He is a snappy dresser around school and 'a snappy marcher in the St. Joseph Cadets with whom he received □ medal when they won the International Championship. Football, Glee Club. Peter Dedeian Faithful and likable is he. Fete, although unassuming, manage. to do a great deal. He works far the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. He rides around constantly in his Chevrolet. His one ambition is to own and edit a newsp aper. Enid Theresa Cummings A girl so sweet and fair With a happy smile and pleasant air. Micky enjoys a good time and her merry laugh rings out easily. She has an interesting hobby of collecting dolls of foreign countries. During her high school years, Mickey has been wisely preparing for a secre- tarial career. Basketball. May Cunningham Laughing, dancing, eyes of blue. May loves to read tales of Indian lore and tall, dark braves. The time she has left she likes to collect knickknacks. After graduating. May hopes to do bookkeeping in a doctor's office, rather tame after the Indians. Debating Club, Dramatic Clab, Junior-Senior Committee. Dorothy Virginia Cutting A comrade blithe and full of glee. Dottie loves to laugh. She is a Rainbow girl, and as a Girl Scout she has received the curved bar award. Dottie wants to cheer the sick as a nurse. Basketball, 'Volleyball, Band, Dramatic Club. Mary Elizabeth Darling Time could not chill her, fortune sway. Nor toil with all its hurdeyts tire. Betty is one of the younger members of our class. She won the Humane Essay Prize in her sophomore year. She is a junior member of the Woman's Club, and also belongs to the Girls' Friendly Society. Betty plans to attend Fitchburg State Teachers College. Basketball, Dramatic Cub, The Red and Gray. Eleanor Marion DeDominicis Honest endeavor is sure reward. Eleanor is small, dark, and pretty. She is one of our best trumpet players. Hei' hobby is collecting band leaders. Band.

1942 Clayton Albert Eaton His wise rare smile is sweet with certainties. Clayton works as a page at the Public Library. He has an interesting collection of stamps from different pariS of the world. He is a member of the Boy Scouts and belonged to the Y. He wants to be a research chemist. German Club. John William Elliopulos The good are always the merry. John is a calm, quiet, likable fellow who never becomes disturbed by anything. Though an exceptional basketball player, outside work has prevented him from playing in a Red and Gray uniform. He is an authority on all current sports. John expects to enter Boston University where he will take a business course. Dramatic Club, Class Colors Committee, Intramural Basketball. Roy Melvin Emanuelson Kind, quiet, always neat. Roy has blond hair, blue eyes, and a Nordic grin. He really s' ars in skiing and has won a couple of ski races on Mt. Wachusett. He is a member of the Fitchburg Ski Club and the Hi-Y. Basketball, Dramatic Club, Councillor, Class Ring Committee, Sophomore Cheer Leader. Allan Enholm Good works make the man. Allan played center excellently. He likes all sports and dancing. Though rather quiet and bashful he has a good scholastic standing. He plans to be an aeronautical engineer. Football, Baseball, Basketball, Councillor. George Joseph Faatz Education makes the man. George doesn't care about dancing or girls, but spends his time on his fascinating hobby — the radio. He is a member of the Recreation Radio Club. He plans to go to Gallups Island Maritime Service Train- ing School in Boston to study on a ship. German Club. Cecile Claire Desrosier Some credit in being jolly. Cecile has an interesting collection of stamps from all over the world. When she works in an office, she no doubt will widen her collection with many interesting stamps. She enjoys seeing the big orchestras and of course dancing to them. Bessie Diamond Eyes of brown, lusty hair Always with some fun to share. Bessie is a brunette, with dancing dark eyes, full of appealing friend- liness. Although she is tiny, she has proved herself as a basketball pl.iyer. After graduation, Bessie hopes to sing with a dance orchestra. Basketball, Dramatic Club, Junior Prom Committee, Red and Gray Board, Councillor. Eleanor Joan DiGloria She is pretty to walk with And witty to talk witli. Eleanor is an excellent dancer, skater, and bowler. When not oc- cupied in these pastimes, she enjoys a little volleyball and basketball. She has the voice of a nightingale but refuses to admit it. Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball, Glee Club. Yvonne Eva Dufort Lots of pep and a real good scout, Yvonne likes out-door sports. In the summer swimming and bicycle riding take the lead, while winter offers skiing and skating. She would like very much to work in an office as a secretary or stenographer after graduation. Volleyball, Basketball. Eleanor Gertrude Duggan Few things are impossible to diligence and skill. Eleanor is tall, dark, and always attractively dressed. She is an active member of our Glee Club and is also active in Girl Scout work. Tiavel is one of her chief interests. She spent this past summer visiting the western and southern States. After graduation she would like to become a dental assistant.
