BOULDER 1941 Edwin Clififord Duncan None but himself can he his parallel Edwin, or Dune, plans to follow his high school course with study at a technical school. Some of his spare time is spent in photography. He is a membsr of the Y.M.C.A. Golfing seems to interest him and he is also one of the mainstays of our tennis team. Dune will always be liked for his bright, broad smile and amiable character. Basketball 2, 3 ; Tennis 2, 3, 4. Raymond Wilfred Dupuis He wants a line all his own Ray's pet hobby is taking snapshots of unsuspecting persons, especially teachers. Although he was not a participant in school activities, he enjoys bowling, skating, and best of all, camping. Tele- phone work interests him, and he hopes to be a lineman. Kenneth Ray Durling An honest man' s word is as good as his bond Kenney was a part-timer for Miss GifFord and Mr. Dufour. His cheery personality has helped him to get many customers for his Sentinel paper route. His ambition is to be a first class machinist m the Navy. Assistant Councilor 4. Paul Allyn Ekengren A keen wit, a wise look, and an ansu'er always ready Paul is a calm person who remains poised in all circumstances. He has been a member of our band for the last two years and be- longs also to the Junior Legion Band. Outside of school he plays in three orchestras and collects pictures of swing bands. It sjems probable that Paul will continue in the line of music. Band 3, 4. Jarl Vesa Elo Success follous earnest effort Jarl is definitely interested in sciences, especially those dealing with electricity. He intends to be a pioneer in the uncultivated field of electrical warfare. Swimming and hiking lead all others as his favorite sports. Despite his many interests, Jarl is a very modest person. Kenneth Irving Emerson Talent is that ivhicl} is a man's power Kenney, better known to his friends as Skinny, is one of those individuals who can't keep still for a minute. He is interested in sports, mainly baseball and soccer. His hobbies are drawing and freehand art. Kenney hopes to become a commercial artist some day. Henry Joseph Erickson Dignified and tall was he, as much a man as one could be Someday Henry is going to be deplorably rich for he has a wonderful coin collection that should bring in quite a bit of money if he should ever cash it. Henry has been one of Miss Peabody's ablest stage hands. The air corps will be much the gainer in a few years, for Henry plans to enter after two years at college. Stage Hand 3. Clifford George Ey A friendly chap who is widely known Cliff usually greets people with a broad smile and a friendly Hi. We think that perhaps someday he will take Professor Quiz's place because he has an unusual faculty for asking questions. Ask any one in his chemistry class. Although Cliff did not take part in many school activities he took an interest in school functions and supported most of them. Page 22

BOULDER 1941 Roberta MacKenzie Edgerly What sweet delight a quiet life affords Roberta has been very quiet during her four years at high school, but those who know her find her full of fun. Stamp collect- ing and photography are her particular hobbies. Her industrious nature will surely help her to become a good dental hygenist. Dra- matic Club 2, 3, 4; Glee Club 3, 4. Lucy Katherene Erickson Sing away w noiv. ca l away care Lucy has a pleasing smile that lights up her face with friend- liness. She studies elocution and has entertained us often in the Dramatic club. Her favorite sports are skiing and swimming. Later, Lucy would like to take a course in beauty culture. Hockey 2 ; Dra- matic Club 2, 3, 4. Mildred Evelyn Erickson A light, happy heart lives long' Mildred goes in for sports in a big way, with basketball, volley- ball, hockey and several other athletics to her credit. She likes to take care of children and her work consists of just that. To prepare herself for hairdressing, she would like to attend the Wilfred Acad- emy. Volleyball, Basketball, Hockey 2, 3, 4 ; Aerial Darts 3 ; Ping Pong 2. Anna Virginia Farquhar She nobly earns whatever crown she wears Ginny is one of our star pupils and how sincerely we wish that all the praise due to hard-working, little-rewarded students might be accorded them. If it could be, Ginny should lead the parade of those who never ceased to work diligently to list their names among the honor students, and who always succeeded. Astronomy, amateur weather forecasting, and non-Euclidean geometry are her hobbies. To delve in astronomical and mathematical research is her ambition. Red and Gray Board 2, 3, 4; Hockey 4; Latin Club 3, 4; Round Table 4; Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4. Mary Florence Fava She is fair ivhose beauty only makes her gay Mary is one of the good natured and studious members of this class. Outside of school she takes part in many sports. For the immediate future she has no definite plans, but she thinks that teaching would appeal to her. Motto Committee 3; Basketball 2, 3, 4; Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4; Glee Club 4. Doris Hildergarde Feltman Take life too seriously, and what is it worth Dot, who comes from Westminster, is a small girl with black hair and sparkling eyes. What she finds to do all the time up there is certainly a mystery, but we all know that it isn't spent at home with a book. Dot would like to be a hairdresser. Thelma Fisher Cheerfulness smoothes the road of life Thelma is an attractive girl and a good dancer. She goes in for sports, and skating is the favorite one. Collecting coins is her hobby. She would like to be employed as a beautician. Hockey 2; Basket- ball 2. 3, 4; Dramatic Club 4. Reta Lillar Flagg A to rial claw mate, loyal and true Reta with her charming way has won a host of friends espe- cially among General Course students. Her hobby is sewing. Maybe that accounts for her good taste in clothes. At Worcester Trade she would like to take up hairdressing. Page 21

BOULDER 1941 Ruth Madeline Flanagan She '( all my fancy paints her Ruthie is one of Marion Rice's most dashing Denishawn dancers. She even teaches ballroom dancing Saturday nights. To be a gov- erness or a schoolmarm is her ambition. Archery 4 ; Glee Club 3, 4. Celia Edna Forsberg A lovely girl to meet and know Basing her deportment on that of the proverbial mouse, Celia is one of the teachers' favored pupils. One of her fondest ambi- tions is to reach the glorious day when she can master the mechanics of an automobile and obtain her license. Tennis 2; Glee Club 4. Claire Mary Fournier Silence is the mother of truth Claire is a very quiet and good natured girl who works hard and seriously at her studies. Claire's great ambition is to become a laboratory technician. Her careful and serious outlook on things should go far in helping her to be successful. Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4; Hockey 4. Irene Josephine Fredette That which benefits us is cheerfulness Irene has sparkling brown eyes that you can't help notice. She has a happy laugh and finds pleasure in everything. In the winter most of her time is spent skating. Irene's favorite pastime is drawing. Lucy Der Garabedian She is full of life and full of fun Lucy's dark hair and eyes mark her out from the rest of the class. She is very athletic in her interests and enjoys swimming, tennis, hockey, and horseback riding. Her hobby is finger printing and her ambition is to be a typist or bookkeeper. Hockey 2, 3, 4; Aerial Darts 2; Basketball 2, 3, 4; Tennis 2, 3, 4; Dramatic Club 4. Mary Ellen Gelep High flights she had and wit as well, And so her tongue was never still To Mary, a carefree, talkative maiden, the motto Silence is golden means very little. Mary likes to chatter so much that she forgets to keep quiet even in class. Much of her time after school is spent in sports, such as basketball, volleyball, and hockey. She intends to make nursing her profession. Bella Ghenes She's a regular girl in every way Bella is a tall girl with very dark, expressive eyes, and curly brown hair. Every morning she can be seen walking down Ash- burnham Hill Road. Her favorite sports are skiing, skating, and sliding. She plans to be a nurse. Her pleasing personality should enable her to succeed. Rita Blanche Girard Earnestness is the soul of work Rita is a dark eyed senior who leans to the studious side. Her goal is secretarial work and she is gaining experience as a part- timer in the typewriting room. In her .school work, Rita has always been one of the brightest students. Thoughtful, with a magnetic personality, and a determination to make good — with these three attributes she should net speedy results! Page 23
