BOULDER 1941 Marie Anna Adams A sweet, obliging, kindly soul Marie doesn't talk much in school, but once outside the doors, she is quite a different person. She is a good student as her name usually appears on the high honor roll. For the future Marie plans to become a nurse, and we venture to say that our cool, capable, Marie will be tops in that profession. Secretary, German Club 4. Antoinette Mary Addoriscio To a valiant heart nothing is impossible One never sees Antoinette with a frown on her face. She is a friendly Miss with a desire to please. In her quiet way, she is ever ready to lend a helping hand. Hairdressing is her future ambition. Volleyball 2, 3. Alice Helen-Marie Ahola A gentle maid with quiet, modest ways Although Alice is quiet in school, one cannot overlook her presence. Her long naturally wavy hair is the envy of many a less fortunate girl. Added to this, her sweet smile and winning person- ality have made her numerous friends. Dramatic Club 2. Barbara Elizabeth Aldrich Care' s an enemy to lije The most noticeable thing about Barb was her extra long finger- nails. The great mystery of our day was how she kept them from breaking. Barb is always a merry, carefree, witty girl. Seldom is a remark made that she can't meet with a snappy comeback. Glee Club, Dramatic Club 2, 4. Ethel Edith Anderson A smile cures the wounding of a frown Petite, light-hearted Ethel is to be seen around school, generally laughing or with a twinkle of mischief in her eyes. Her friends all say that she is a true pal ! Though her future plans are indefinite, we know that she will succeed in whatever she decides to do. Stephanie Angelos In charity there's no excess Stephanie has naturally curly hair and dancing brown eyes. She is a quiet and unassuming girl, pleasing and always willing to help. Her lovely voice adds much to her church choir. Stephanie would like to secure work as a typist. Sirkka Mareurite Anttila Exceedingly wise, with imploring brown eyes Sirkka is one of our dearest little classmates. Her sunny dispo- sition has won her many friends. Most of her time after school is spent in sports; she played on the basketball, volleyball, and hockey teams. Sirkka is often seen skimming over the ice on Mirror Lake. She is planning to take up nursing. Basketball 2, 3, 4; Hockey 2, 3; â– Volleyball 2, 3; Aerial Darts 3; Dramatic Club 4. Annie Philomena Arcangeli Tall, straight, blender, with all the graces blest Annie is a part-timer who assists Miss Mattson. She is very talkative and is often heard before she is seen. Outside of school her interests lie mostly in bowling and dancing, but she is also a good skater. Annie hopes to do office work. Dramatic Club 2. Page 9

BOULDER 1941 Roger Goodell Weeks The kind of fellow who doesn't shirk, And is always ready to do his work Here is a president from whom no one would withhold a third term, if it were possible. Unfortunately there is no third term, but his position will be a permanent honor with no successor needed. Squeak is a good leader, gets better than average marks, and is a man with ideas, which is one of the essential qualities of a leader. Track 3; Dramatic Club 4; Band, Orchestra 2, 3, 4. Lois Stevenson F of pep, full of fun. A laugh and smile for everyone XX'hen you mention Lois' school activities, it is easier to name the things which she hasn't done than those that she has. Her splen- did personality, combined with her friendly smile, have endeared her to many. With pep and vivacity as a cheer leader, she has made our cheering section respond willingly and spiritedly. Her plans for the future will no doubt include work in physical education. Basket- ball, Volleyball 2, 3, 4; Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4; Hockey 2; French Club, Pep Club 2; Deck Tennis, Debating Club 3; Cheerleader, Red and Gray Board 2, 3, 4. Laure Eva Thibert A merry, amiable, little lass, Beloved by all the senior class Laure has made herself indispensable to her class and has been an ideal secretary, by always lending a helping hand wherever it was needed. Her winning personality and giand disposition make her a friend of everyone immediately. She has commanded nothing but respect and admiration from her teachers and fellow students. Laure's surprising versatility and indomitable class spirit have not, how- ever, hindered her from starring academically. Basketball 2, 4; Dra- matic Club 2, 3, 4; French Club 2, 3; Pep Club 3; Red and Gray ' 2, 3, 4; Round Table 4. Richard Arthur Bingham A little mischief now and then. Is relished by the best of men Here is a combination of a streamlined Lochinvar and a high- pressure salesman who should go far in this modern generation. He is well known by the feminine element of our class, and has made innumerable friends who will never forget him. As our class treas- urer, he is the one and only. Hardly being the bashful type, he already has visions of himself as the contact man for some reputable firm. Band, Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4 ; Pep Club 3. Pages

BOULDER 1941 Willard Lowe Aitchison, Jr. Speech is great, but silence is greater' Willard is one of the quieter members of our class. He spends much time in delivering papers and many times this prevents him from doing his homework, especially Trig and Solid. He is a mem- ber of the Hi-Y Club and collects slamps and old coins. He is not yet sure what field he should enter. Lee Austin Aldrich Character makes its own destiny Lee is one of our more enthusiastic hunters and fishermen, and has brought home many a large one to adorn the table. Outside of school, Lee finds time to help instruct some of our ambitious Boy Scouts. In him the animals have a friend, for Lee intends to special- ize in animal medicine. Chester Alvin Anderson For manners are not idle, hut the fruit of loyal nature, and of noble mind Chet is the possessor of one of those deep voices we hear when the Glee Club performs. He is a good fellow to have around, for he has a good sense of humor. Although he had to leave school for a year, he has rapidly regained the popularity and friends which it became necessary to leave for awhile. Football 2, 3; Glee Club 4. John Andreucci For they can conquer who believe they can John is tall, dark, and handsome. Ice skating and roller-skating are the sports he prefers, although he is proficient at many others. We hear that he is a collector of photographs and has some very interesting ones. Raymond Andrew Antil All good men can cook'' Here is one of our quiet gentlemen. He is an ardent photo- graphy fan and plays baseball, football and ice hockey. Outside of school he has started to master the culinary arts as cook's helper. Ray has a leaning towards draftsmanship as a future career. French Club 3, 4; Dramatic Club 4; Football 2. Emile Hector Arsenault A jolly little fellow Emile is the very epitome of jollity. He radiates an interest in humankind. Out of school hours, he totes golf clubs for the patrons of the Oak Hill Country Club. He would like to become a printer. Joseph Aveni A iriend in need is a friend indeed'' Jovial Joe is one grand fellow, but his jollity melts and re- hardens in the shake of responsibility when he works as a clerk in he A P. He intends to become an aviator after spending two 5 ears in college. Swimming, skating, and stamp collecting occupy h s extra time. Debating Club 4. Henry Hutchins Baker, Jr. '.( the quiet worker who succeeds'' Henry is one of the literary lights of the class. He outdoes all other writers by venturing into the printmg department, also, for he publishes a paper in Ashburnham in his own printing shop. Henry benefits his class by his work for the Red and Gray. German Club 4; Red and Gray Board 3, 4. Page 10
